Do you mean float bowl,and they are on the bottom of the carbs.To drain them you'll need a special tool(looks like a long Allen wrench,about 2 foot in length)and there is a drain screw on each of the carbs.
AnswerI used to drain mine with a flat head screw driver, it has to be long, but not 2 feet. Just make sure the engine in cold, you can see the drain screws on the carbs. Just get a Clymer Manual and it will tell you everything you need to know. not sure about those above 500cc but that and the 250 have them under the crankcase... you don't even have to remove any fairings cause the lower has an opening int to allow access to the drain and filter bolts... on the 1986 ninja 1000 the oil filter is by the exhaust pipe bottom of the engine you have to remove the exhaust to take the filter cover off its a paper filter.
