Does it idle high all the time or just for a bit after you start it? There are a couple things you could check such as:
1- Defective throttle cable
2- Idle srew on you carburator is set too high
3- Choke is on
Good Luck!
I have 91 chevy k1500, It does this, Sometimes it will idle a few minutes, then jump to high idle and check engine light comes on, And sometimes its as soon as i start the engine... I was told it was a vacum leak, But im no mechanic
Because something is broken, or your idle speed has been set WAY to high. Try to fix this soon.
It could be the idle control P1507
Engine idle is set too high , turn the idle down should take care of the problem
What kind of car is it if its a newer model then the idle position sensor if it's a older car with a carburetor the u need to Clean it and set the idle
Either the idle is set too low or there is mostlikely a fuel issue... You could have a bad fuel filter or fuel pump.l
Your idle reglator needs to be adjusted so it idles at a higher rpm
YZ50A dirty carb. it also might be on chokecheck the carbi and they are not mento idel because its a 2 stroke, try letting it warm up tooI had the same problem with my bike you just have to let it warm up then it should be fine.
as soon as you start puking.
as soon as possible...
u may have gotten bad gas and fowled all the plugs, try a fuel water remover, posbly change the fuel filter. Some time the idle air on the throttle body can get stuck and wont let it idle. Does it idle well with a foot on the gas or crappy?
Engines that run generators don't normally idle. As soon as you start one, the engine immediately comes up to operating speed, usually 1800 or 3600 RPM for North America, and 1500 or 3000 RPM for Europe. There is a governor that keeps the engine at this speed. It does have an adjustment, but this is for normal operating speed, not idle. Many models of portable generators have manuals that can be downloaded. Check the manufacturers website.
