Elena is teenager who lives in the town of Mystic Falls, here adopted parents get into a car accident and both die. Elena has a cousin named Jeremey which is like her brother. Elena's birthmother is named Isobel she is a vampire now and Elena's birth Father Johnathan Gilbert was her adopted father's brother. Elena is considered a doppleganger because Kathrine Pierce looks exactly like her. Kathrine Pierce is Elena's boyfriend Stefan's old love. Stefan is a vampire who loves Elena. Stefan has a older brother named Damon who is also in love with Elena. Elenan's 2 best friends are named Bonnie and Caroline. Bonnie is a witch with magic power who like Elena's brother Jeremy. Caroline is a vampire who was turned into a vampire right before she was about to die. Carolines mother is the sheriff of Mystic Falls. Also Caroline loves Matt. Matt is best friends with Elena they have known each other every since childhood. Matt had a sister named Vikky who got turned into a vampire at the begging of the show. Vikky died and Matt got very upset because that was his only sibling and he couldn't lean on his mom because she was a druggy and never came home to see her children. Matt also has another friend named Tyler Lookwood, Tyler has a family curse that runs through his blood. The lookwood family is one of the founding families of Mystic Falls. Tyler's father dies in a church were many vampire were placed in 1864 to burn and die. The curse that rus through Tylers bood is that if someone dies in his hand he will become a werewolf. The Warewolf is very uncommon now days. Warewolfs can bite Vampires and if that happenes it will be fatal. Tylers uncle comes to check on him and while he is visting Tyler he dissapers and dies. Damon and Stefan kill him to get answers on werewolfs and a mystery curse that will get the vampires out of vampirism. The curse was called the moonstone curse to break that curse you must first find the moonstone and if you find it a ceromony will be placed in a sacrifice will be held by the doppleganger which is Elena. Elena is the key to breaking the vampire curse for the curse to be complete you also need a witch (Bonnie) and a vampire I believe( Isobell,Stefan,Kathrine,Caroline or Matt) Matt gets turned in to a vampire by Caroline right before he is about to die because a witch stabbes him in the neck with a peice of broken glass. You spelled Damon wrong, dimwit. And that's not how it goes! Elena learns to love Damon too, but more of like a friendly way. Though at the beginning of the second book, Katherine comes back to kill Stephan for betraying her. Katherine is Stephan's ex gf and she's jealous because he apparently MOVED ON. And that girl really needs to LET HIM GO. Anyway, she ends up murduring Elena but Elena kills Katherine before dying. It's confusing, but you gotta read the book to get what I mean. It's really good. Not as good as twilight, but It's really good. You can't take your eyes off it!

The second season mainly focuses on the arrival of Elena's doppelgänger Katherine Pierce and the reasons she returned to Mystic Falls. The second season also introduces werewolves. Tyler's Uncle, Mason Lockwood, a werewolf, arrives in the town after the death of his brother, Tyler's father, and tells Tyler about the so called "Lockwood curse" that has run in their family for centuries. He tells Tyler that in order to activate the curse, more specifically to activate the "werewolf" gene, the person must kill someone. Katherine turns Caroline into a vampire so she can have a spy against Stefan and Elena, using Matt to scare Caroline into helping her. Caroline later tells Elena. Tyler accidentally kills an innocent girl after Katherine compelled her to make him angry. Katherine's main reason for returning to Mystic Falls was to find the moonstone, with the help of Mason, who is later killed by Damon. Katherine falls back on Plan B and calls in a favour from a witch to help her get the stone back from Stefan and Damon. The witch casts a spell on Elena and Katherine, meaning that when Katherine is hurt, it also affects Elena. When the witch finds out another Bennett is at the party and Katherine had deceived her, she puts a spell on the moonstone, injuring Katherine. Damon then leaves her in the original tomb, where he believes she belongs. She tells him the reason she hasn't killed Elena is because she has to protect her and she's in danger. Damon ignores her and leaves her screaming and crying in the tomb. Elena is later kidnapped, meaning Katherine was telling him the truth.

It is revealed that Elena isn't the only Petrova doppelgänger, but Katherine too, and maybe others. Elena needs to be sacrificed to break the sun and the moon curse, but she is rescued by Stefan and Damon. Klaus, the oldest vampire in history, is now hunting for her. Klaus wants to break the curse before the werewolves can do so.

Elena is a newly turned vampire and she finds Damon and Stefan fighting to the death. She does not recognize the brothers because she is in a confused state, having recently died and risen as a vampire, but soon a memory causes her to realize the one she loves is hurt and needs her help. you would think she is thinking about Stefan. Elena attacks him, and fully intends to kill him for hurting Damon. Stefan, upon recognizing Elena, doesn't fight back and allows her to bite him. Damon eventually tells her to stop and takes her to hunt for human blood. Stefan intervenes, not wanting Elena to kill someone, and instead lets her drink Matt's blood. Afterwards, Damon hides her in Alaric Saltzman's attic and once she has rested, her confusion begins to lift. Elena is deeply upset about the way she attacked Stefan. When Elena wakes up she hears Alaric speaking about vampires and then about a memorial service. Elena goes to her service and is found by Stefan and Damon, who agree that all of them should work together. Stefan is relieved when Elena remembers their love and Damon is enraged, but the three are distracted by the strange behavior of a large part of the town's pet dogs who are attacking their owners. More strange events lead the three vampires, with the help of Bonnie, Meredith, Matt and Alaric, to conclude that the same Power which drove Elena off of the bridge is still stalking the town. It end up to be that Katherine, the vampire who turned Damon and Stefan, faked her own death 500 years before in an attempt to bring the brothers back together. Katherine was infuriated by the brothers' continuing feud, so she fled to Klaus, the one who had turned her into a vampire on her death bed. Under his teaching, Katherine became more powerful and quite unstable. She eventually has Damon, Stefan and Elena tied up in an underground crypt where she plans to torture and dispose of them all. Here she confesses that she has always loved Stefan more than Damon. During a struggle, Elena manages to free herself, pushing Katherine into a shaft of sunlight and tearing off her protective necklace. Elena is badly burned herself as Katherine had already removed the protective ring from Elena's hand. Stefan pulls Elena back into the shadows but it is too late; Elena dies in Stefan's arms after she made him promise to take good care of Damon.

So A long time ago in 1864 there where two brothers named Stefan and Damon, well there was this Beautiful woman named Kathrine and they both fell in love with her, Kathrine wanted them to be together, but the two brothers wanted her to themselves, they fought with each other day after day, later on they found out that she was vampire. but they didn't care. There parents where vampire hunters so they killed vampires, but of course they did not want to kill Kathrine. One night Damon and Stefan's father found out that Kathrine was a Vampire and the people in town that knew Vampire's where real all went after the Vampire's. Damon and Stefan both went after Kathrine to protect her, one of the vampire hunters thought that Stefan and Damon where Vampire's to when they where with Kathrine and shot both of them. ( ok so how a Person be comes a vampire is they need to drink the blood of a vampire and then die) Stefan and Damon were both Buried in the ground and had a funeral. Later on the next night they awoke from the ground. They both thought that the Vampire hunters had captured Kathrine and put her in a tomb. They both blamed each other for that happening. The next day Damon was by a lake and Stefan had saw Damon he brought a women with him and wanted Damon to drink from her, Damon didn't want to but Stefan somehow got him to. Stefan said that it was a great feeling and that he had killed there father. Damon got mad at him for doing that and they both walked away in different directions. (There both vampire's now) Kathrine's servant Emily caught up with both of them and gave them a ring she said that Katrine said that she wanted them to have the rings. What the ring does is it allows then to be in the sun. Not every vampire has one though.

ok so in 2011 Stefan went to Virgina back to his home town like he does every year and stay's for awhile. This time He met a beautiful girl named Elena and Stefan started to fall in love with her but here's the catch Elena looks Exactly like Kathrine but Stefan loved Elena for who she was because Kathrine was mean, cruel, well basically she was a bitch OK so Elena was nice and her personality was just the opposite of Kathrine's. Later on Damon came to Mystic Falls, Virgina and saw Elena well of course he was going to do something about that. OKKKK so Damon is like really HOT and so is Stefan YEA so Damon and Stefan both stay at there uncle's house. Damon is killing alot of people in the town, sone that police start to figure out that its vampire's Damon startes to help the police so then the police wont suspect him of being one or Stefan.( by the way Stefan goes to school with Elena) Damon try's to keep getting Elena to fall in love with him with umm well Force i guess. But she refuse's him all the time witch he hates. That goes on for a while. Elena has a friend named Bonnie and shes sort of a Witch and she falls in love with Elena's brother Jeremy. Elena also has a friend named Caroline and shes a Bitch to, well she falls in love with Elena's EX Matt( and Matt is very Nice like Elena but they don't love each other) Later on Caroline becomes nicer. NOW comes the Ware wolfs there's not that much about the wolfs. but another important thing that comes is Katrine comes back and start's to mess everything up because HELLO she was supposed to be dead. Anyways I don't want to confuse you and I just said allot of stuff if you want to know allot of other stuff that happens that maybe you should watch it instead of reading it OR you could read it because they say books are better then the movies but yea ok well that's like the beginning and some of the middle so there you go well I didn't give you all of it so OK jut bye
