A Jedi Master is a highly skilled, "senior" Jedi Knight. A Jedi Knight is someone who fights with a lightsaber, and a Jedi Master is someone who fights with a lightsaber AND can teach other possible Jedi.
Knight and Master are two different ranks. After you are done being a Padawan learner, you are then Knighted. You can only become a Knight if you have successfully trained a Padawan and has transitioned into Knighthood.
