There are different songs played in each episode. They are instrumental variances of songs written and performed by various bands. For example, episode #2: Checkmate has a variance of "Burn" by The Cure (from The Crow soundtrack) and episode #3: Closing Time has "Hurt" as performed by Johnny Cash (originally written and recorded by Nine Inch Nails). Like I said - they are variances of the songs, so they may sound awfully familiar, but aren't the exact songs.
