Under the dash to the left of the steering column.
on the brake pedal braket, lay on your seat upside down. feet on head rest. head on brake pedal. there is a small plastic cover about 6 inches from your face, remove it. look up about a foot. you'll see a small green box. that is your turn flasher relay. hope you are very flexable.

∙ 12y agoWow, this was one heck of a pain in the rear. there is a flasher behind the fuse box, but that's for the 4 ways. to get to the turn signal flasher you need a 7 mm wrench. first thing you need to do is get underneath the steering column and release the kickplate and the lower dash. Then if you look to your left, upwards, the turn signal flasher will be right next to the center console, where your radio is. you will see that the flasher does not plug into anything, rather the wires plug into the flasher. feel around in there, and you'll notice that the flasher is suspended by a plastic c clamp that surrounds it about 3/4 of the way around. stretch your hand inside and take the flasher out, remove the wires from it and replace it. why does GM do this to us? :)

∙ 15y agoI have a 1998 Riv and the turn signal flasher is under the driver side of the Dashboard. You have to remove about three screws to remove the lower dark panel to get to it and look up. It is not easy to see at first.
That is correct. I just changed mine a while ago. There are two flashers under there. The one you want is closer to the steering column, not the one nearer to the emergency brake side.

∙ 12y agoMounted on auxiliary fuse block under the driver side dashboard, above the left side of the brake pedal. There are two flashers at the top of the fuse block. The one on the right is for the turn signals, and the one on the left is for the emergency flashers. Just pull towards the rear of the car to remove either. You can test for function by swapping one flasher for the other, or temporarily regain turn signal use by swapping in the working emergency flasher.
