It was the largest ship ever made back then and also the most luxurious not only for first class, but the second and third classes had better accommodations than other ships did back then. And it was supposed to be The Unsinkable Ship because it was designed to stay afloat if up to 4 watertight compartments were breached. But when the ship hit the iceberg, 5 compartments were breached
