signature series Guitars that are beat up the same way say Van Halens guitar is .. or.. customs can get incredibly over priced, but I saw one for 16,000 that was made by PRS with dragon inlays.
Eddie Van Halens beat up guitar for 25,000 I think each, 12,000 for an Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster, 25,0000 or so for a Jimmy Page Les Paul like his.

∙ 15y agoFrom what I have found the Gibson J-250 Monarch Acoustic Guitar (hand made) is the most expensive. However they claim that fewer than one is made per month so don't know if you would consider this a production run guitar, but the guitars are available online at guitar center and musicians friend. Which is why I would consider this instrument a production run because you don't need to special order it from the factory. The guitar MSRP is $24,544 USD and it is selling at $17,349 USD at the website menchend above.

∙ 15y agoThe Gibson Custom Shop has some pretty ridiculous ones but they don't even compare to the Paul Reed Smith Custom Shop. Some of those guitars crest into the 30k-40k ranges, depending on what you want them to make for you.

∙ 11y agoEvery year, another most expensive guitar is made. Often it is one used by a famous (and often passed on) elite guitarist. One such guitar owned by Jimi Hendrix is a Gibson Flying V "Psychedelic" worth $22,000. Steve Vai's JEM777 FP, FP2, EVO, BO and FLO (all personally owned) worth in the tens of thousands. There is also a Japanese or Korean made guitar (not sure if it is actually branded, possibly Ibanez based on the country) made of solid gold encrusted with diamonds and other fine gemstones worth more than any number I could ever count to. The more you Google, the more you find.
