The 2001 Jeep Cherokee automatic shutdown relay switch can be found in the fuse box. The automatic shutdown relay switch will be in the third column, third from the top.
The ASD relay turns off whenever the computer commands it off. That could be from a signal from the ignition switch, crank sensor, cam sensor, etc.

If it's the same as a 1999 Cherokee.......... It's under the dashboard to the left down of the steering wheel. There are about 4-6 screws that hold a small panel a 10 - 12 inches square or so. Hard to see down there. If you can get the panel off go to a auto parts place and the will.... Hopefully take it out and replace it for you. That is if it's the same as a 1999 Jeep Cherokee. Hope this helps some.

I tried trouble shooting my 1993 dodge dynasty when the fuel pump went intermittent. We looked for the accident fuel shut off relay everywhere thinking it was an active thing rather than a passive relay near the air filter. As I remember it, the computer (in mine) shuts of the relay or rather doesn't turn it on and let it run--no power to the relay. I had a schematic of the Internet that showed two relays were involved-- That's all I can remember now--it's been months and "experts" gave me all sort of stupid and wrong information--trying to trouble shoot the pump in the tank--sensor wires and what not they were easy to see under the car. They had cross-over pumps on some Internet site for about $50
The 1996 Jeep Cherokee headlight relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The headlight relay switch will be on the drivers side of the firewall.
I don't believe there is a relay. When you turn on the power to your radio the antenna should go up and down when you turn off the power. If the antenna is not doing just that, then the antenna motor is bad.
No. The auto shutdown relay powers the fuel system.
The auto shut down relay is located under the hood, an the passenger side, in the fuse and relay box.
The relay is under the Left front Fender.
last relay behind the battery.
Yes the auto shutdown relay is one of many things that can turn on the check engine light in a Town and Country.
My ignition relay was damaged and it caused my starter to go out, which cause my car to shut down.
No voltage from Auto shut down relay. This is one of those codes that comes up when something else is wrong. The auto shut down relay kills everything, sets the code and send you down the wrong path. The relay can go bad but often is not. Usually a crank sensor or other critical sensor fails and the computer triggers the ASD.
Relay box.
Certainly inside the fuse box at the left of the dahsboard!
Not sure, but a 2000 CJ5 blower relay is behind the glove box, down and to the right.
On a 2000 Ford Expedition the ABS Relay problem is a problem with the braking system. Either the ABS Relay needs to be replaced or the brake pads are worn down. The ABS Relay is located in the fuse box that is on top of the battery in the engine compartment.
When a crash is reported by the airbag computer the engine computer shuts off the ASD relay (auto shut down). The ASD relay powers the fuel pump and coil(s).
