The sun's mass is so much bigger than anything in our solar system that it actually pulls all of the other masses in the Milky Way to it, the planets with the bigger masses are out farther, and the smaller ones are closer, except for pluto. (because pluto's orbit is messed up due to previous momentum)
Answer: The sun is the center of our solar system.
Answer: Yes - more or less. The Sun, planets and a few minor objects move around the Solar System's center of mass, which is very near the Sun, because it has much more mass than any of the planets.
Because it is the largest, most dense body in the solar system, it generates the most gravity, causing everything else to circle it. (I'm not sure 'generates' is the right word here, but I think my meaning is clear)
Not quite. The orbits of planets are not circles, but ellipses.
A circle has a center; you can tie a piece of string to the center of the circle and swing the other end of the string around and get the circle. If the orbit were a circle, the Sun would be at the center. But it isn't.
An ellipse has a "focus"; actually, it has two, and the plural is "foci". Put one end of the string at one "focus" and the other end of the string at the other focus, and see where the string goes; that's an ellipse.
With elliptical orbits, the Sun is at one focus of the orbit.
Yes the sun (a star), is in the middle of our solar system, all the planets orbit round it.
Yes, the Sun is the centre of our Solar System. A Solar System is a star with planets and other objects orbiting it. Without a star, there would be no Solar Systems.
Each Sun is at the center of its own solar system.
The sun is the star at the center of the solar system
All solar systems have their sun's as the center. Even in a binary system, where planets have been suspected, lay outside both stars. There is not enough evidence yet on triple systems.
In a solar system a star is in the middle of orbiting planets.
The Sun is at the center of the Solar System. the SUN is the centre of our solar system.
The center of the solar system is the Sun.
the sun is our sun in our solar system
The center of mass of the solar system is inside the sun, not too far from its geometric center.
The sun is smack-dab in the center of the solar system. That's why it's called the solar system.
There is no such thing as a sun of the center.
Yes. The sun is in the center of the solar system.
Yes.The sun is the center of the solar system.
The Sun is at the center of the Solar System. the SUN is the centre of our solar system.
The center of the solar system is the Sun.
The Sun is at the Center of our Solar system. and yes, the sun is a star
The sun is at the center of the solar system.
The center body of the solar system is the Sun.
Never. The center of the Solar System is basically the Sun. Actually, the Solar System's center of mass is outside the Sun, but very near to it.
Solar means sun and the sun is the star at the center of our "system" ,thus solar system (sun system).
Solar means sun and the sun is the star at the center of our "system" ,thus solar system (sun system).
the sun is our sun in our solar system
