Electric force and its application?

an attraction or repulsion between electrically charged that opperates according to the law of electric forces charges and Coulomb's law of electric force

If the distance between two objects increases the electric force does what?

When the magnitude of the charges increase definitely electrostatic force also increases. Because the force is directly proportional to the product of their charges. When the distance between them increases then force decreases because the force is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the charges.

What is the source of magnetism in materials?

Magnetism, at its root, arises from two sources:Electric currents or more generally, moving electric charges create magnetic fields (see Maxwell's Equations). Many particles have nonzero "intrinsic" (or "spin") magnetic moments. Just as each particle, by its nature, has a certain mass and charge, each has a certain magnetic moment, possibly zero.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetism

How are magnetic poles and electric charges similar?

Main similarity: Like charges repel each other, different charges attract each other.Main difference: Magnetic "charges" can't be separated. At least, so far it has not been achieved.

What is the electric field half way to the centre of a conducting sphere charged to a potential of 15v?

electric field inside the conducting sphere is ZER0..! because their are equivalent charges all around the sphere which makes the net force zero hence we can say that the electric field is also zero.!

The electric force that makes current flow in a circuit is related to the what?

The electric force that makes current flow in a circuit is related to the resistance.

What is the most common force causing electrostatic charges?

There isn't any such force. Charges are not caused by force. However, the "Electrostatic Force" is caused by the separation of charges.

What is the definition of electrical force?

Electric force is the force applied on 2 electric charges, by those 2 electric charges.

When electrons are rearranged in an object by an electric field the object is charged by what?

electron rearrangement is caused by the force exerted on the electrons by the oscillating charges of the field. so in a way the rearrangement is caused by the charges of the field

What surrounds electric charge and exerts force on other charges?

An electric field surrounds the charge and exerts force on other charges.

Is electricity a force?

Yes The electric force is a force by which electric charges act on each other; the electric field is the associated field.

explain how magnetism as a force?

Magnetism is the force exerted by magnets when they attract or repel each other. Magnetism is caused by the motion of electric charges. Every substance is made up of tiny units called atoms. Each atom has electrons, particles that carry electric charges

What surrounds electric charges and exerts force on other charges?

An electric field surrounds the charge and exerts force on other charges.

What is the cause of electric force?

Two point charges.

What is the attraction or repulsion of charges called?

an electric force.

What of the four fundamental forces is an attraction between opposite charges?

Electrostatic force — APEX

If the two charges are fixed such that the distance r is between them does not change but the charge q is increased will the electric force become stronger or weaker?

If the charges increase, the force increases. If the charges increase, the force increases. If the charges increase, the force increases. If the charges increase, the force increases.
