The human brain realizes it must fight or flee. It sends messages to the Central nervous system tell it what the body needs to do. It will send a message to the endocrine system telling to release endorphins, a natural chemical, that will then be passed around the body to carry out the proper function. If a man must save a child from a burning building the endorphins will enable him to move heavy objects and grab the child and run fast to safety. If a woman sees a bear her CNS will signal the endocrine hormones to release the endorphins she needs to run fast and get away from the bear or to move with extreme care to get away from the bear. If it releases more endorphins than are used the person will have a racing heartbeat or shaking body.

What organ of the endocrine system also interacts with the nervous system?

the nervous system and the endocrine system are joined together by the HYPOTHALAMUS. The HYPOTHALAMUS is part of the central nervous system(CNS).I receives, sorts, and interprets signals from neurons. It is also part of the endocrine system and produces hormones. -JMAR14

How the endocrine system and nervous system work together when the body is under stress?

During stress, the nervous system activates the "fight or flight" response by releasing hormones like adrenaline. These hormones are produced by the endocrine system and help prepare the body to deal with the stressor. The endocrine system also releases cortisol to help regulate the body's response to stress, working in coordination with the nervous system to maintain homeostasis.

What other body system is directly connected to the sympathetic nervous system?

The sympathetic nervous system is directly connected to the cardiovascular system. Activation of the sympathetic nervous system leads to an increase in heart rate, stronger heart contractions, and constriction of blood vessels, helping to prepare the body for fight or flight responses.

What are the differences between the central nervous system and the autonomic nervous system?

The central nervous system is the part of the nervous system that integrates the information that it receives from, and coordinates the activity of, all parts of the bodies of bilaterian animals and the endocrine system is a system of glands, each of which secretes a type of hormone directly into the bloodstream to regulate the body.

Do all living organisms need the endocrine system to survive?

yes they do. this is how they are able to respond o stimuli such a flight, fright or to fight

How does the interaction between the nervous and endocrine systems contribute to the body's response to stress?

The nervous and endocrine systems work together to respond to stress by releasing hormones and activating the fight-or-flight response. The nervous system sends signals to the endocrine system to release stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, which increase heart rate, blood pressure, and energy levels to help the body deal with the stressful situation. This coordinated response helps the body adapt and cope with stress effectively.

Which of these endocrine glands produce hormones that work with the sympathetic nervous system and cause the fight or flight response?

adrenal glands!

What is the hypothalamus use?

The hypothalamus is a major relay center of homeostasis/equilibrium and motivated behavior. It also functions in concert with the autonomic nervous system and the endocrine system. The hypothalamus receives information from the limbic system and uses it to stimulate the sympathetic nervous system which deals with the fight-or-flight response.

What system works with the nervous system?

The nervous system is comprised of two parts, somatic and autonomic. The somatic nervous system is the control over your skeletal muscles. It is voluntary. The autonomic system works automatically. It has system wide effects known as sympathetic (fight or flight) and parasympathetic (rest and digest).

What components of the nervous system is associated with the flight or flight response?

The sympathetic nervous system originates in the spinal cord and its main function is to activate the physiological changes that occur during the fight-or-flight response.

What components of the nervous system is associated with the fight or flight response?

sympathetic nervous system.

sympathetic nervous system.

What is the characteristics of the nervous system?

The Sympathetic nervous system helps prepare the body for action( Fight or Flight)

What process does the parasympathetic nervous system not stimulate?

The parasympathetic nervous system does not stimulate the fight or flight response.
