After WW1 Ottoman Empire was divided between Italy, England and France. Italy was supposed to get the western and south western parts of anatolia, but western part was given to Greece afterwards. After Turkish War of Indepence Greeks were driven away, there has been no conflict with Italians. But later Italy left 12 islands to Greece.
