Most cells in the body divide by a process called mitosis where a parent cell divides to create two genetically identical daughter cells. There is another process that is found only in sex cells called meiosis where a single parent cell divides to create four genetically distinct daughter cells.
Mitosis.
Fertilisation; where the zygote divides into multiple cells!
The chromosomes of the daughter cells are identical to the chromosomes of the parent cell.
