We can't squeeze a sealed plastic syringe full f water because all the space in the syringe has already been occupied by water and as a result, there is no space left to squeeze. If we attempt to do so , then the syringe will burst or crack.

Why you cannot squeeze a sealed syringe full of water?

because all the space in the syringe is taken up by water. If you squeeze the syringe it will break.

Why does it make sense that if you squeeze the air in a sealed syringe that the pressure will go up?

If you squash something in a sealed container then you are reducing the volume available for it to fit into and the result is that it pushes back (the pressure goes up). It is like forcing air into a bicycle tyre with a pump.

Does atmospheric pressure act on both sides of the plunger in the sealed syringe?

Yes, atmospheric pressure acts on both sides of the plunger in a sealed syringe. The pressure outside the syringe applies force on the outer surface, while the pressure inside the syringe is influenced by the contents within. If the plunger is pushed or pulled, the pressure difference between the inside and outside can create a force that moves the plunger. However, in a sealed environment, the pressure inside can change based on the volume of the fluid inside the syringe.

Why does the water in a sealed syringe evaporate when put in hot water?

Heating favors evaporation.

When you put air into a sealed syringe and then place it into boiling water why does it expand?

The air particles within the sealed syringe expand because the heat from the water gives it energy. And when energy is added to a substance, the particles have more energy to break away from the attractions set on by the other particles. In other words, it expands. (hope that answers it for you.) as the air particles gain heat energy ,they convert this energy into their kinectic energy which makes the particles of the air to move more faster and apart from each other hence resulting in expansion
