Macbeth was hiding a lot. He was hiding his fears and guilty feelings. He also was hiding what he was doing with Scotland and the why everyone was dieing from Lady Macbeth
Malcolm was trying to test Macbeth's loyalty by pretending to list his own supposed vices. He did this to see if Macbeth would react in a way that would show his true nature and intentions.
After MacBeth receives the predictions from the witches he writes a letter to Lady MacBeth detailing the whole situation. He calls her his "dearest partner of greatness" and is very trusting of her. He is also subject to much influence from her since she is the one who later convinces MacBeth to kill the king, Duncan, when he is resolute on not doing anything of the sort.
Lady Macbeth returns the bloody daggers (two of them) to the grooms in Duncan's chamber. Macbeth cannot face doing it.
