The tempo changes from lively and sprightly 2/4 music to lively Waray melodies in 3/4 time.The dance can feature any of the following dances like the ever favorite Kuratsa Menor; the religious dance Gozos; Borongan's version of dove-dance, the Alimukon or Salampati; the wedding dance Melendres danced to the folksong Adios na Nanay ug Tatay; the Kuradang, the courtship dance Linggawen where women sway red scarves; the butterfly dance Ay, ay Alibangbang and the Boronganon quadrille or Ay! Borongan. The Ay! Borongan is usually performed last as a salute to the town. The Ay!Borongan song is the town's anthem.
