because When Soviet Union collapsed, Cultural Revolution was launched by Chinese Communist Party chairman Mao Zedong during his last decade in power, He afraid that he will be collapsed like Soviet Union.

because Mao lost his position as head of Government and wanted to retain the power so he got support from Lin Biao in 1966 the great Proletation Cultural Revolution Began :) I not sure if that any help??????
