Why you are in favor of democracy and against dictatorship?

The best definition of democracy is: "By the people,for the people and of the people"

Because in a democracy people can express their opinions fearlessly. There is active participation by the citizens and they can stand for any post i.e President&Prime Minister. They can speak in any language they want they can write anything in newspaper they want and can change the govt. by vote if they do not serve the people well.Overall democracy is freedom of the citizens.

But in a Dictatorship is a type of Govt. in which ordinary citizens have no say in the decision making process. Instead, the head has the absolute power in the country. This can sometimes lead to decisionsbeingmade against the wishes of the majority.Over herethe wishes of the ruler are the law.
