You're not giving enough information on your insecurity. What is it? Paranoia? Jealously? I'm not sure how to answer this, but let me take a blind stab at it. It is very hard to feel secure at the start of a relationship, so this is perfectly normal. As time progresses, you should become less insecure, depending on how your relationship is working out. If you feel comfortable with this person, if you're able to share personal thoughts without fear of being rejected, then you should do fine. If you're insecure about how the relationship is going to work out, just try and calm down. Know that he/she is worrying just as much as you are.

Think about something that makes you happy instead of focusing on the person who is making you jealous. Instead of getting angry, somehow join the "flirting" or get involved. Don't make it obvious that your jealous or angry. Then later when your more calm, just bring their attention to it. "Babe, can I tell you something," and sit then down and let them know how you feel. Don't try to make them feel bad. And let them know that YOU know, nothing can change in just one day. Just ask if they can please work towards fixing this little issue that bugs you. Getting involved takes away from the insecurity or jealousy. But always stay positive and talk as if you are on their side and you fully understand them

well insecurity comes from within yourself, you have gotta tell yourself that you are worth while and you are special, surround yourself with people who uplift you also and people who do not criticize you, confidence comes from within, if you don't have confidence in yourself, nobody will have it for you

No amount of surrounding yourself with 'positive, uplifting people' will necessarily stop you being insecure.

There are many reasons why we may be insecure in relationships. Often it's down to how we've been raised & what we've experienced at a young age. It's far too complicated to give a definite answer.

Often we actually become less insecure as we get older & gain confidence through life experiences. Sometimes there are deep seated reasons for insecurity within a relationship. It's important not to put too much pressure on yourself or the other person.

Ultimately, it's far too complex to give a finite answer to the question.

The problem is, if we carry insecurity into our adult relationships, it will always result in negative outcomes. Insecurity causes issues regarding trust for one. If you can't trust someone you love or care for it is damaging. If there is a real issue with insecurity I'd suggest seeing a counsellor who may be able to get to the root cause. There is no quick fix. It takes time to 'fix' these kind of problems.

In my personal opinion, and I'm a straight male btw. I think that women are this way almost by nature. I personally think they are sneaky/insecure because of various traits that I've noticed that many women share, for instance a form of sneakiness/being incognito to me is when women will wear shades even on a cloudy day (I never understood that), or they will look away when you are walking towards them, and then sneak a look just when you pass them (some straight men do this to men btw). An example of being insecure is... and I know plenty men can relate to this, is when a male (me) will be gazing at a decent-hot looking woman in public, and there will USUALLY be another woman, less attractive of course, giving me the eye, as if I was their man.
