I would be interested in finding a 1955 (or so) Compton's set for extra reading for me and my children... I read some articles from my father-in-law's 1947 set and it was very interesting. Information about the Aztecs were told in a much better way than the textbook my daughter has in her 5th grade class this year. Does someone have ideas on where I could look for something like this?
The value of a 10-volume set of Collier's Encyclopedia Junior Classics can vary depending on factors such as the condition of the books, the edition, and whether they are complete. Generally, sets in good condition can range from $50 to $200. It's recommended to research recent sales of similar sets to get a more accurate estimate of their worth.
Many of the sets are worth a price close to $75. The exact amount will vary depending upon the condition of the books.
not worth the paper it is printed on
The value of a 1940s 15-volume standard American encyclopedia can vary depending on its condition, edition, publisher, and demand among collectors. Generally, these encyclopedias can be worth anywhere from $50 to several hundred dollars. It is recommended to consult with a rare book dealer or appraiser for a more accurate valuation.
Depends when it was made and what is pictured on it
Lincoln is pictured on usually pictured on the front of the penny. 2009 is the only date that he was on the back. These pennies are very common and worth only 1 cent.
I'd like to sell my complete set of encyclopedia Britannicas, copyright 1947. How much would they be worth, and who would be interested in buying them:
complete set of encyclupedia 1954
3000
the collection is worth 1,000.000 dollars.
300.00
Old encyclopedia sets are worth approximately nothing (unless they're very old ... say, from the 18th century). If someone will take them away and not charge you for it, you're probably getting the better end of the deal.
