Do people realize that doing good is a human thing and not a Christian or religion thing and is cultivated through good parenting examples and good role models and nothing to do with God or religion?

No. If I went up to someone and said I was Agnostic or an Atheist they would probably think negatively of me. Some people are accepting, but most hardcore Christians disapprove of my religious beliefs and think I spend free time starting fires and vandalising police cars.
