Cinnamon

Cinnamon bark is a common ingredient in many products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, perfume, soap, lipstick, chewing gum, cough syrup, nasal sprays, and cola drinks. A popular food flavoring.

In excessive amounts, I have tried a little sprinkled on my dogs food, who is a diabetic, but the cinnamon did not help lower her BG, but it did not hurt the dog, I don't recommend using it unless you have a reason, if you do only a sprinkle.

I recently checked with my veterinarian after giving my dog cinnamon and he did not know of any problems and did not have any concerns.

my dog ate cinnamon toast crunch i dropped on the floor, and then he swelled up like a balloon. he threw up and pooped 4 times before he went to bed. he passed alot of gas, and today he is normal size. was it the cereal he ate that made him swell?

I don't know, but Cinnamon toast crunch is not good for any creatures, including humans.

Hello all. I just wanted to add to the conversation since I am Kuma's mom. All the answers are pretty accurate. He was rescued as a shelter dog and listed as a Lab /Husky on his kennel card. I think he also has a lot of Border Collie in there since she is very intelligent and loves to herd! He is very, very vocal and has a very thick coat which probably comes from the Husky side. He also really enjoys being in and around water (not swimming) so I think that comes from a Yellow Lab or Golden Retriever side. All in all he is probably a Heinz 57 which to me, makes him the perfect dog!

I used to make sour dough bread and after I got it perfected I started making cinnamon rolls with the dough and topped them with powdered sugar icing. I don't know why but I lost weight and I would eat 2 or 3 large ones a day...besides my regular meals. In fact I went to a health food store about 20 years ago and asked them if anyone ever said anything about cinnamon and sugar combined causing weight loss...they had not, but thought it was great that I honed in on the source of my weight loss.

Of course, the sour dough could have played a part in triggering something that caused the weight loss. Unfortunately, I let my sour dough starter sit too long without feeding it and it sort of died. Although I have tried numerous recipes to get a new starter...none turn out the same as my old one

Cinnamon can stop cats from scratching it really depends on how determined the cat is to scratch. Another great thing to make cats stop scratching is mixing some lemon with water and squirting at them when they do but do not squirt their eyes. You can also try putting orange peels where they scratch. That remedy is great at Christmas time if your cat starts to chew the Christmas tree hang the peels from the bottom of the tree. You can try patches of material if your cat is scratching furniture like the arms of a chair.

No, cinnamon does not dissolve, though it can be temporarily mixed to be suspended in the oil base, it will separate back out.

You can take as much as you want...because cinnamon is used in food as ingredients that can be in taste or smell....it also helps in reducing belly fat...no side effects yet....

Mix 1/4 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon (or you can grind fresh cinnamon sticks) to 1 tablespoon of white sugar. You can make to taste and make a cup of it and put it in a Glad bag with ziplock and keep for further use in your cupboard. Butter toast and sprinkle the mixture on top of the buttered toast. This can be done with buns as well.

It is better to just toast you bread with no cinnamon-sugar on it then butter if wanted. After that. cinnamon! sugar! Yum!

Its impossible...without water, but the object is to eat it without it right? ive tried many times and you can eat it! place the cinnamon into your mouth and swallow in very small proportions. DONT CHEW IT!!! it only makes it clump up creating difficulties.

My one friend tried to do it and he immediately put the cinnamon in the back of his throat to try and swallow it so he threw up. Then my other friend tried and he just kept it on his tongue and swallowed in little by little and didn't throw up. Both of them said it dries out your mouth as soon as you eat it though.
