Grapefruit changes the metabolism of certain prescription medications. You should definitely contact your pharmacy or physician to get a good answer, but there is an interaction warning between grapefruit and zolpidem (Ambien).
Ambien ( Zolpidem ) has not adequately demonstrated effectiveness in maintaining sleep; however, it is effective in initiating sleep. Its hypnotic effects are similar to those of the benzodiazepine class of drugs, but it is molecularly distinct from the classical benzodiazepine molecule and is classified as an imidazopyridine.
zolpidem is one of the most prescribed medication for sleep.
I just did and this ambien is affecting me like never before. I feel very wobbly and need to get to bed asap before I do some of the stupid things I've heard you can on ambien. I wouldnt advise it if you need to do anything but go to bed. And I handle drugs well.
I dont know.
Yes if they are prescribed by a doctor who knows that you are taking both drugs.
Looks a lot like John Powell from Jeepers Creepers 2.
I personally have shot ambi 10s at first, then ramped up to 2-10s. They were the generic kind that are a small circle with an orangish-yellow coating that you need to lick off then it will be white, and ready for crushing in the spoon u could soak it up and do it then, but I always heated the spoon first it turns the liquid clear. Which made it easier in my head to put in my arm. When u do a 10 mg u get this weird sense that your hands are old and belong to something else. And what might be a simple project can go weird quick in head but its all gone in about 5 to 10 min. Hope that helps answer your question j in Seattle
Yes, as long as the ambien is not time released. I'm on 80 mg of methadone in the morning and take 10 mg Ambien everynight. I would not take them at the same time though since they both sedate.
Ambien CR is a medication prescribed to enhance sleep. Its generic name is: zolpidem.
Should be about 5$, depending on the current supply/demand factors.
No. My daughter was prescribed Cheratussin. She took it with the Ambien and had extreme phsycodelic events. Her hands were misshapen she saw bugs on the wall, people who weren't there, lights that were not on. She also had trouble breathing. My suggestion would be if you do mix the two, use caution. I would not rest until I knew she was going to be ok
Usually it takes very little time, sometimes within 5 minutes but also depends on if you eat or not. Eating something will make it take longer to work. But if you dont eat and you take the ambien make sure you are in bed. If you are not in bed when taking ambien on an empty stomach you will sometimes be very dizzy possibly or like the room is spinning and makes it for an unpleasant trip to the bed. So be in bed already when taking ambien
It depends on your body. Trazadone is a generic prescribed sleep aid and Ambien is name brand. For people who's body can 'use' a generic, than Trzadone will be strong enough. For those who have to have name brand, Trazadone will not work well.
At one point I was prescribed both Strattera an Ambien so, yes, I think so.
Yes, you can. Metamucil is a psyllium (fiber) laxative, which shouldn't interferre with any prescription meds.
If your doctor okay's it, yes. But do use caution mixing two CNS depressants.
You can, with care, as Flexeril (a muscle relaxant) will put you to sleep, and Ambien, as you know IS a sleeping aid. Be careful with this combination. They aren't counterindicated for synergy, but the double whammy of sleeping effect should hit you hard. Don't even think about driving the next day, or operating power equipment either, until you know REALLY WELL how you tolerate these two meds in tandem.
My nurse told me I could take it as long as it was before midnight with only a sip of water. My surgery is at 11 am.
Yes it absolutely does!
When you are on Abilify you should never take any other prescription drugs or OTC drugs. If you have been taking Ambien for a while and add Abilify you can suffer severe consequences. Please call your pharmacist and your doctors who prescribed your drugs to discuss both drugs and too seek alternatives to sleep problems while on Abilify. See the related links below.
Yes you can take these 2 but limit your dosage. I take 10mg vicdins 4 xs a day as prescribed and also a 10mg ambien at night for sleeping and have never had a problem. I am prescribed both by my DR. so it limited doses under doctors supervision u can.
