Can you take accutane with Celexa?

Before taking any medications (even over-the-counter meds such as cough syrups for colds, medications for headaches, etc.) always tell your local pharamacist what medication you are on and will the medication you want to take counter-act with the med you are on at this time. Doctors are often in a rush, so I prefer to trust my pharmacist.

I've been taking accutance for 4 months so far I get dry lips/skin. That's all.

There are no known problems taking Accutane with antidepressants. It IS advised to AVOID vitamin A supplements. Also mixing with alcohol CAN cause SEVERELY elevated blood-triglyceride levels. When my son was on Accutane for severe acne he experienced VERY dry lips and mucous membranes. Also, regular blood tests are important to monitor liver functions. In addition, if you take carbamazepine ( TEGRETOL ) for seizures, Accutane may reduce the effect of Tegretol. ASK your doctor and/or pharmacist. Your pharmacist can give you a whole printout on Accutane if you ask. The printout tells you EVERYTHING you need to know & in easy to read/understand language..( not "doctor speak"! )

If you skip your lithium dosage can you drink alcohol that night?

Skipping your lithium would be really dumb. We don't recommend it. Why don't you ask the doctor who prescribed it? Could it be that you already know the answer, and are just fishing for someone to support what you want to do anyway? You won't find that support here.

This is really sound advice. I have taken lithium for 15 years, and I can tell you that what you are talking about is absolute nuts. It is one thing to forget your lithium, but to deliberately not take it will also mean your lithium levels will drop, which you don't want to happen. The golden rule is, alcohol in strict moderation. Please take your lithium and keep well, as I have for years.

Will bupropion hcl cause weight gain?

I lost 115 pounds in 2005 on Wellbutrin (bupropion). (I had weighed 300 at the start.)

It also caused mania. I lost my appetite and had the desire to challenge myself physically -- I rode a bicycle over 70 miles one day (I'm a woman, weighed 200 pounds, and was age 45 at the time.)

A stressful side effect was that my hair fell out and became very thin, possibly due to hormones and the extreme weight loss.

Unfortunately, the good effects wore off in 2006 and I stopped taking it.

I resumed it in 2009 for fibromyalgia pain and depression. It completely eliminated the fibro pain.

However, the antidepressant and weight control effects of 2005 haven't come back.

I gained back 65 pounds, continue to have depression, and periods of complete inactivity and compulsive eating.

Phentermine and Zoloft?

"Phen-Pro" is the combining (cocktail) of Phentermine and a low dosage of Prozac(Fluoxetine). Any one of the tailing antidepressants: Zoloft, Paxil or Effexor may be used in lieu of Prozac(Fluoxetine). The use of the antidepressant in the Phen-Pro cocktail is dissociated to imprint. The cocktail is requisite because the effects of Phentermine, when used unequaled, minify over time. The Phen-Pro cocktail enables Phentermine to work finer and for a longest period of time. The compounding of Phentermine and Fluoxetine does not appear to causa the problems that resulted from the custom of Fen-Phen.

Can you take Adderall 15 mg Prozac 20 mg and 25 Xanax as needed?

You should only take your prescription medications as prescribed by your physician. However, 1mg of xanax is still not that high of a dosage, so if you were to take another 0.5mg, I don't see any reasons why you would have any problems.

Can children take Prozac?

You are permitted to have your children take antidepressant drugs but they should be closely monitored. These drugs will normally have a "black box" warning, which is the most serious type of drug warning. It warns that taking the drugs will increase the risk of suicide in children. Because the youth have not fully developed their neurological and hormonal systems, the drugs can result in very detrimental effects to the body. Using these medications can prove very risky for there may be safer alternatives. They are meant more for the adult body instead.

Contact your doctor immediately if you become dizzy, confused, faint when standing up, or have rapid heartbeat.

Can abilify and Wellbutrin be taken at the same time of day?

You did not say why you are considering taking both, but sometimes they are prescribed together.

Wellbutrin is used primarily for depression while Provigil is used primarily sleep disorders including sleep apnea with excessive daytime tiredness and narcolepsy.

Recently, some studies have shown Provigil to be beneficial in the treatment of depression when used with a traditional anti-depressant like Wellbutrin or an SSRI. However, it should be noted that even though neither is an amphetamine, both can cause symptoms seen in amphetmaine use like nervousness, diziness, loss of appetite, etc.

Always consult your doctor or a psychiatrist before taking either.

Is it safe to take Celexa and fluoxetine together?

I took both of them together, and I had no bad side effects. Are you taking them for fibromyalgia, or depression or what? Cymbalta works for my depression, but does nothing for my fibro, and neither does Lyrica. Lyrica just made me fat and bloated.

Can you mix Celexa with Prozac?

During concomitant use of these drugs, patients should be monitored for potentially excessive or prolonged CNS and respiratory depression. Ambulatory patients should be counseled to avoid hazardous activities requiring mental alertness and motor coordination until they know how these agents affect them, and to notify their physician if they experience excessive or prolonged CNS effects that interfere with their normal activities.

The related link also states to monitor the central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant for effects that may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially in elderly or debilitated patients. Can you take dramamine and Zoloft together?

I'm going to say no. I get very car sick and took Dramamine for a long time. I started taking Zoloft about two years ago. this past spring break i used the patch version of Dramamine and it made me absolutely worse. I was sweating, shaking, virtually in tears. I called my dr and he told me to take the patch off. When i took it off i could feel the difference immediately. i wasn't shaking, sweating or anything. I still had to sit in the front because of my car sickness, but NO don't take Dramamine if you are taking Zoloft
