If you do buy membership online, maybe use one of your credit cards or gift cards that have just enough money left on it to buy the membership you want. I don't know if it's interally safe to buy it online, but the Artix Entertainment staff don't seem like the people who would use your credit card number.

the last quest gives you rustbucket, but you have to kill the protosartorium 5 times.
to get enforcer, a better version of rustbucket (same abilities, better stats) kill the mithril man 20 times. beware: it makes you look realllllllllllly fat
