That is a difficult question to answer. There are many many different breeds and many large & powerful breeds. Each breed has been bred to do different things.

So in what way do you mean "strongest"? There are Bullmastiffs that are powerfully built dogs who have been bred to guard. Dogs that are used as draft animals such as Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Saint Bernards and Bernese Mountain Dogs are also very powerful animals because they were (and still are) used to pull heavy loads. Many people also think that the American Pit Bull Terrier is the strongest breed of dog because of it's stature and the strength of its bite.
