Do not move the head, moving it could cause more damage. Immediately call 911 and request an ambulance.

If for some reason you are in a rush circumstance (fire, flood, tornado, etc) or remote area (forest, mountains, ocean, etc), you will have to be very careful. If available, apply a splint or head restraint that will keep the head in its current position. Household items such as pillow and blankets can be duct taped for this purpose, as could sleeping bags. If possible, assist the person into a vehicle and lay them down, assuming that this does not require them to move their head. Get to the nearest emergency room or hospital as soon as possible. If there is not one in the area, get to the nearest area of communication where you can request an ambulance.

Remember that a broken neck varies in degree of incapacitation of the person from soreness to asphyxiation. The spinal column could be severely damaged, which could result in paralysis. The person's airways could also be blocked by the break, another reason that medical attention must be sought quickly.

Usually 6-8 weeks followed by 2 weeks of "getting back on your feet." Everyone is different though, some it might take longer and others less. Your fracture specialist should be able to tell you more.

I got a hairline fracture in my ankle by to running up a slide and jumping off and due to not wearing proper shoes. When I landed I mistakenly landed on my left foot and due to all that force coming down on that one ankle, the outer part of my foot touched the side of my calf..... It swelled up so bad that when I got it X-Ray'd the doctors couldn't see the fracture, they thought I just got a real bad sprain. It wasn't until a week later they realized I had a hairline fracture in my ankle.

many things; Your risking infection if any cuts (i.e an operation) are present. Also removing a cast can be difficult without the right tools. If you do decide to take the cast of use vinegar/water and let it soak. yes is smells bad , yes it works

there are many different types but the main 3 are open closed and a greenstick fracture. An open fracture is often when the bone penetrates the skin. Closed is when there is a clean break but does not penetrate the skin. a greenstick fracture is when it is only broken in one place. Almost exclusively occurs during infancy and childhood. The bending of a bone with incomplete fracture, involving the convex side only. Green stick fractures are characterized by a break in the bone which partially extends across and then along the length of the bone forming the characteristic fracture pattern for which it is named. There is also I buckle Fracture which mostly happens in children who's bones are not fully developed.

get them to a warm place like inside a house or start a fire and bundle them up. put a hat or cap or something to keep in body heat. you lose the most body heat from your head. if you cant do any of these put them and you in the car and warm up and roll the windows down a bit so you dont get poisoined by the carbon monixide.

You need to go to hospital as soon as possible. Your arm won't mend itself and it must be painful. Also your arm will need setting again in its proper position otherwise it will set deformed and you will need to have it re broken in order for it to be set correctly.

I just went to the doctor last month about a labrum tear. He specializes in shoulders and knees at UCLA and told me this. If it is torn badly enough, it will need surgery. However, a small tear can heal within a few months and within 2 years will be no different than a surgically repaired shoulder. The main problem with a tear of this sort is that it doesn't get an abundant supply of blood which greatly slows down the healing process. He proscribed NSAIDs to manage the pain which have been working wonders.

I broken my big toe and it so much pain and very painfully to walk i can not brealy walk on it paprs and hurts so much i went to doctor and all side it creck and broken so strpe up and all do and still so much pain and hurt to walk and not it go to hopstial over be take painkill but still in load of pain and my toe so un confected all time and the pain kept a woke a night i bardly not sleep becuase who much pain i am please hlep
