It should take 1 month (4-5 weeks) till you can walk on it and another 2-3 weeks for it to fully heal actually. All tho if you have a really bad one such as if the bone were to come out of the skin or actually start to dangle as if it has been hacked on by another. If either of those happen it could take at the least 2months and at the longest 3 1/2 months but that is about the worst.

I don't know the specific definition but a remote fracture is one that is not fresh. As in an old fracture. There is probably a rule that it is >6 month or >1 year or something.
