It does not. It supports a damaged structure until the bone heals.

It needs ti be splinted to heal better in order to keep it straight, protected and immoblle. Two tongue blades on each side of the finger then wrapped with tape would help a lot.

i have hairline fractures in 4 of my pelvic bone how long will it be sore when i do housework or move about a lot?

There are actually more than 4 muscles that should be immobilized. When you move your shoulders you move your clavicle. The muscles that causes movement at the shoulder joint should be immobilized. This includes the prime movers, as well as the assistant movers. The following muscles should be immobile. Although buckle fractures are a common type of pediatric fracture, an adult can get a buckle fracture as well. hello,yes you can put it in a cast because at the moment i have fractured my hairline and the doctor put my ankle in plaster all the way up to my knee. It helps support the ankle and you must not put any weight on it once it is in the cast though. Hope this helps.
