The longest bridge in the UK as at 2006, is the Humber Estuary bridge, completed in 1981 at a length of 1,410 metres. At the time of construction, it was the longest bridge in the world, but is now the 4th longest in the world.

The Mackinac Bridge connects the cities of Mackinaw City on the northern tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula and St. Ignace on the southern tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This iconic suspension bridge spans the Straits of Mackinac, linking the two peninsulas.

The Milvian Bridge was built in 206 BC by the consul Gaius Claudius Nero. It was later reconstructed in 115 BC, by the consul Marcus Aemilius Scaurus, and renovated by Pope Martin V in 1429.

Chestnut Street Bridge was created in 1957.

They put flexible connections in the road on a bridge because scientifically speaking, when the bridge is heated like when it's summer season, the bridge can move further apart, so in order to hold it, they put flexible connections. :)

Sidney Lanier bridge Jekyll Island/Brunswick GA. appears to be the steepest in the USA. The bridge stretches for a distance of 7,780 feet with the main cable stayed span lengths of 625 feet - 1,250 feet - 625 feet. This provides a horizontal navigational clearance of 1,038 feet and a vertical clearance of 185 feet for shipping for the Port City of Brunswick. It would make a nice ski run!

It's also not a suspension bridge. A suspension bridge has a deck suspended from cables, and cannot be opened. The rest of the technical description is correct.

Wind tunnel testing is generally very expensive and time consuming. In addition, if the object to be tested (i.e. a car, an airplane) is too big to fit in the tunnel itself, a very accurate scale model must be produced, and Reynold's numbers (a number describing the flow conditions over the object) must be accurately matched to the expected operating conditions. These models can be prohibitively expensive as well.
