Where is the ecm located on a 1990 cadilliac brougam

you have to go from the inside removing the plastic cover from the inner pillar from there self explanatory

first you gotta find a replacement this is actually a dumb question remove all the screws and take it out and put in the new one

Had the same problem several years ago. Found a web site for a company in ND (I think) tht actually did the work in Canada. The site explained how to take out the entire display. Not too hard. Then I shipped to these guys in ND by US Mail, priority mail. Sent a check. I think it was about 100 bucks. They fixed it and shipped back. Probably a garage operation or maybe geeks who do other electronic repairs for computers. I re-installed. Has worked fine for 4 years. This company also did other GM displays. They had a whole list. Taking out the dash cover was fairly easy with their instructions. Disconnecting the unit was also pretty simple. WHile re-installing, I popped in a new light switch as I had the dash open. Whole deal took two weeks. Can't find the name of the company - was on other computer that wore out. Best regards to all.

You turn the ignition to run and then pull the Scan and Seek buttons OUT. Scan changes the hours and seek changes the minutes

You don't say the reason for the blower motor replacement. Did it not blow ? If that be the case, and you do have a new blower, check for 12 volts to blower. Could also Abe a malfunctioning blower module. Now if its blowing COLD air, well , replacing the blower moter wont make it blow warm. There could be numerous causes of that problem

I learned the hard way on my 91 to take the wheel off and replace them through the wheel well. Not sure if 94s the same worth a shot.

To bleed the brakes on a 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood, start by ensuring the brake fluid reservoir is full. Then, begin at the wheel farthest from the master cylinder (usually the rear passenger side) and use a brake bleeder wrench to loosen the bleeder valve. Have an assistant press the brake pedal while you open the valve to release air and fluid, then close the valve before they release the pedal. Repeat this process on each wheel in the correct order (rear passenger, rear driver, front passenger, front driver) until no air bubbles are seen in the fluid.

I've recently acquired a 1988 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance RWD from the original owner, who also owned the Cadillac dealership here. It was still in the dealer's name, never titled.

It has only a little less than 11,000 miles on it. However, it has been sitting for 5 years in storage. Therefore, I am doing a lot of routine preventive maintenance.

The car has a 5.0 Liter, 3.7 V-8 Engine with an electronic Carb.

I've run several quarts of Lucas Fuel System Cleaner/Treatment through it with premium (93 octane) gasoline & it still has "smoking blow-by." However, it is NOT consuming engine oil. Nonetheless, the oil gets dark very quickly.

My mechanic says the carb. needs to be re-built. He has known the car since it was made, as he was to Service Director at the Cadillac dealership.

Yesterday, I bought a PCV Valve, a Fuel Filter & a 180 degree thermostat with a gasket & sealer kit.

Can you tell me how to locate, R&R these items?

Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, near fuel tank, mounted on frame rail in fuel line.

First you must determine color of smoke . blue is an oil burning exhaust. Black smoke is a rich too much fuel exhaust. Cloud like steam is water or coolant burning. Some exhaust smoke in colder temps is normal. Good luck

It is available at the ALDL connector, terminal 'B', located under the instrument panel, just right of centre. Terminal 'A' is ground, so it is possible to use a short jumper to ground this terminal.

Take the 2 screws out on the sides of the housing,then lift it up,disconnect the wiring from underneath...then remove the 2 srews from under the top ...separate the parts to access and change the bulb....reinstall in reverse order....
