Yes they are different in many ways:
.rats are bigger
.rats have scaly tails but mices tails are furry
.mice droppings are smaller than a rats droppings - about the size of 1/2 a grain of rice
.rats can be aggressive, especially if cornered, they will attack but a mouse will just freeze
.rats have bellybuttons (i swear ive seen one!)
thier really not different they both are wild both like cheese/peanut butter and both break into peoples house
Usually water.
Rats can also drink soy milk. But don't give them cows milk, they are allergic to it. And no soda, rats can't burp and if they have to much they will die!!
What do you do with a dying baby mouse?
If you see that your pet is dying you need to rush to a pet hospital or humane society, they could probobly help the mouse. If you can not go to one, there is probobly nothing you can really do to help a mouse. Hope I Helped!
What do 3 week old baby mice eat?
A milk formula works (unflavored cream or homogenized milk) and when they get to about 1 month- 1 month 1\2 the will start eating bread or small pieces of bread (preferably small pieces of bread) Email me at... tiatiatiapuppy@Gmail.com of you read this answer XOXO

Can a rat live in a bird cage?
My rats also live in a bird cage that has been modified. Bird cages are also much cheaper than rat cages.
How do you tell a pet mouse is dead for definite?
my sisters mouse is pretty active. if your mouse doesn't move much or isn't on the wheel much (assuming you have a wheel) then he/she may be dead. also, you could try cleaning the cage and if the smell comes back he/she is alive. another thing could be put him/her in the ball (assuming you have a ball) and seeing if the ball moves. counting pellets. it shouldn't be too hard to see if your pet mouse has passed, as they are usually active animals.
What are the similarities between newborn squirrels and newborn mice?
You have to look at the tail.
Squirrels have bushy tails.
mouses have thin tails.
a rat does have lungs and does need oxygen to survive, so yes, if it is underwater for to long it will drown.
It's just how they've evolved. They do it for the same reason wolves, people, and birds live in groups. It helps them survive better, and so they've evolved so that being in groups makes them happier. Just like humans, mice who live together lead happier and healthier lives. You wouldn't like it if you were in solitary confinement, right? So don't do it to your mice.
No! Not at all!
Feeder mouse/rats can be paid for around 60cents or maybe $1.
Other kinds of mouse/rats are around $3-$7.
Now! The equipment is going to be the pricey part. Cage could be $10 - $15. I wouldn't spend more than 15 dollars on a cage.
Shavings are going to like 3 or 4.
Youll definitely will want a running wheel that's like 3 also.
Special food can be bought for 8 dollars or you can just give leftovers lol they arent too picky.
So for feeder rat + 13 dollar cage + 4 for shavings + 3 for wheel + 8 for special bag food(optional) = $30. Of course this will vary but this is just the JUST of it. Hoped this helped.
I got my mouse for MUCH CHEAPER! I got mine for 15 dollars with everything but I already had the cage from my guinea pig... poor Clyde T_T
How big should a cage be for two rats?
You should allow at least 2 cubic foot per rat, bearing in mind that more is better. Something like the FOP buddy deluxe would house two rats, and the dimensions for that are 66 x 45 x 69cm. Try the Fancy Rats cage calculator if you have a cage in mind.
No. Rats, will die of dehydration without water. Like humans and pretty much all life on Earth, rats need water to live. With juicy fruits and other moisture-rich foods they could survive for a while, but they would have to rehydrate one way or another.
You can run it under hot water till it thaws completely. Just with de-thawing a solidly frozen mouse under hot water, you have to make sure its thawed completely. what I like to do, is keep the mouse in its bag and then just hold it tightly for a few seconds, the surface of the skin may feel warm, but if its still a bit frozen inside, doing this will let some of that cold seep back out to where you can feel it and know its not quite ready yet.
I prefer to just take them out in the morning, let them thaw on the counter throughout the day, and then feed at night, running just a bit of hot water over them to get them warmer than room temp. But I've done both to de-thaw my mice.
Mice and rats...same difference. But they can and WILL eat through ANYTHING....cement...drywall...wood...ANYTHING....rats and mice have VERY LONG sharp teeth, and they are ALWAYS looking for something to "file" down their teeth. Actually it's very unhealthy for a rat or mouse to NOT file their teeth. Hope this answers your Q.
No, it is not. Producers are plants (homotrophs), while animals are consumers (heterotrophs).
Does ferret feces keep rats away?
I have read that is does and also have read that is doesn't. I haven't had the opportunity to prove either one.
Well if you go to the local pet store they sell mixed stuff.
but you can feed them
Nuts
Raisins
Seeds
Fresh peas (Not frozen)
If when you get your mouse from when its born to 15-17 week you can feed it rat pallets
yes, infact, baby mice are talented swimmers. I suggest teaching them before they grow hair, because then the skin cells will grow accustom to water, and the hair will grow in water resistant. All mice are natural born swimmers from birth. They can hold their breath for up to 3 minutes! I have taught many baby mice to swim, and this is the easiest way! Make sure the water is not too warm, because this can irritate the young skin. The easiest way is to take your baby mouse, and just place it in over the head deep water. beleave me! it really works! :) I hope that answered your question, and good luck! (:
A ferret cage can cost from $100.00 to over $300.00 USD not including accessories. Accessories are litter pan $5.00 - 10.00, water bottle $5.00, feed bowl $7.00 -10.00, Toys $10.00 - 15.00, Hammock sleepers $7.00 - 17.00, ferret litter $6.00 - 10.00, ferret food $9.00 - 15.00. Approximate prices from Ferretstore.com. The best prices on ferret supplies are at Ferret.com
It all depends. It is more likely that large cages will cost a hundred or more, but it could be less. What size do you want? I suggest looking at ferretstore.com and other similar sites. A large, well designed cage for ferrets is a necessity. Some features to look for are solid floors and shelves / balconies (wire mesh is hard on the feet), and ideally solid ladders, too. Multi-level cages are nice, but depending on the arrangement of the levels, falls are possible. Get extra shelves or use hammocks to make cages safer if necessary. A ferret cage can be obtained at most pet stores, EBay.com, Amazon.com, or you can locate a used ferret cage on Craigslist.org, or ferret shelters also sell cages.
How do you make fake baby food for your reborns?
you need: baking soda, sugar, salt, water, and food colouring. you put all the ingriedients in the baby alives bowl. 2 you mix it up (after puting in food couloring*) note: you need the special spoon for feeding a baby alive learns to potty. do NOT feed her flour because it will rot inside her and make her smell really bad and maggots will be eating it in the doll. dont feed her real baby food. make sure you wash her out really good or some food might get stuck in her and rot.
What is the smarter gender male or female?
In general both sexes are capable of the same mental processing and neither is de facto 'smarter'.
Generally males have more spacial sense while women are more perceptive, however this is primarily a result of nurture as opposed to being male or female. The corpus callosum which regulates transmissions between left and right brains are larger in women, so women are generally more dexterous and better at multitasking, while men have more grey matter which is related to muscle control and the senses. Men generally have larger brains, however this in no way impacts intelligence. IQ tests have favored both men and women and are generally subjective as to judge intelligence.
It's impossible to judge by the number of male and female intellectuals as in most countries women haven't been allowed the vote until this past century and have been conditioned for centuries previous to take a more passive knowledgeable role.
