How do you stop a cat from catching birds?

Even short haired cats can leave a trail of hair flying all over the place, but I've never had it in my food. The cat should never be on your kitchen table or any counters and they can be trained not too. There isn't much you can do if you're not home, but be sure you wash down the counters and the kitchen table before preparing or eating food. Something I just found out recently is when cats get excited or are frightened their hair flies loose like a porcupine would let their quills fly! I was very surprised at this. Sometimes my dogs will chase our cat Molly (they are pals) and are just playing around (sometimes Molly starts it) and I guess the fun of the chase is enough to send her hair flying. There are special brushes for cats so purchase one and groom your cat every night while watching TV. Generally cats will groom themselves (some more than others, but they can't groom their backs and that seems to be where most of the hair comes from.

How can you stop male cats from spraying around your front door of your home?

This is an act of defining his territory , you might want to check if there are any male or female cats wondering outside the house , their presence might be the cause. If there are some tissues left over or something, that can cause them act as if they aren't neutered. But most likely the cat's feeling some outdoor cat around the house and being defensive.

Can Polysporin be used on a cat?

Yes, but do NOT let him/her lick it. If he/she does, take him/her to the vet immediately.

Ok, I looked this up yesterday as my cat had an abscess that was looking pretty bad yesterday. I was in a PANIC!! I had used some Neosporin plus pain relief to try to make him more comfortable as his injury healed. I read this and freaked OUT and rushed to the nearest Vet, ONLY to find out that the medicines in Neosporin are so minimal that unless you are literally squeezing the tube down the animals throat it is NOT going to harm them. The Vet's office even told me that they tend to use Neosporin on some wounds that the felines and canines get. So, on a positive note, I got my pet the shot of antibiotics that will help him heal quicker. On the negative side, my daughter cried the whole way to the Vet thinking that her cat was going to die due to bathing himself and taking in the Neosporin. Please don't post answers unless you are 100% sure you are correct. My pet will be fine, but has now cost me an additional emergency Veterinarian fee.
