Your Boot of your 00 Passat wont lock any idea why?
I had the same problem.Now I can only open and lock the car using the boot lock!There are two locking systems on the passat.The boot and obviously by locking the door(driver's).I would say that the boot locking system is acting up or stopped working altogether.Do the rest of the doors open when you turn the key in the boot?That would suggest it's the boot locking system.I know it's a common problem with that year and year's before.I know four people who have had it.Usually requires changing the lock on the boot.
How do you remove a car's CD player?
Depending on the year and make of the vehicle, you may need to unscrew it. If newer, you will need to purchase either a DIN tool or panel tool. These are used to deactivate the retaining clips which are in place to keep people from stealing your stereo. The most common is a DIN tool but check to make sure your car can use that before purchasing. You can usually find these at Walmart. If not, try VIP or Autozone.

People like me who use OU for singles trap shooting tend to use top barrel, depending where the bird flies from. If I have any doubt if it's too far I use the bottom barrel as a precaution. I recommend you go trap shooting and using an OU to see which barrel you like to use best, but make sure you try with both barrels, not just one or the other

You need to get the unlock CD that came with the deck. I have this same problem as the Jazz CD that came with mine was stolen in a CD case with my other stuff.
If you can prove you bought the deck or it's registered to you, Eclipse will send you a replacement disc to unlock it.

You can if the CD player operates off 12 Volts DC. But, if it is a home CD player that runs off of 110 Volts AC then no, it will not work off a car battery. These are two different types of voltage.
