It does play wave files and mp3, but only play mp3 in tracks form not any mp3 file.

I have a 2001 and this happened several times. First be patient, sometimes you have to slowly push each button, even if you put the CD in track 4, you may have to push the others. They tried to tell me it was because of burnt cds, but I eventually had to have the company replace the CD, and they retrieved the last cds that got stuck.

Sorry, but if you want it on iTunes or Windows Media Player you have to have another program.

Are you trying to play a home recorded CD? Some home made CDs have in correct format and will not be read by some players, giving you the CD error code.

Is it happening with one disk or all disks? Sometimes scratches can cause the error. If it's happening with all disks, this could be poor or damaged electronics in the player itself. I bought a cheap player at a big-box store and it would give me the error randomly, so I would just turn it off and on or eject the disk until it played.

Actually when you replace the CD player, your sub is probably not going to work and that specific sub is hard to replace with a thin one that exists currently and so you might have to replace it with a powered sub in the trunk.

most likely got dropped or bumped to hard and the eye broke witch is what reads the Cd's. so most likely you cant, you need a new one. could be the same on any thing that plays compact discs. like DVD player or boom box.
