Why wont my 2004 Dodge Dakota CD player eject the disk?
My brother works in car sterero's for the past 40 years.I have dodge factory install CD player that does the same thing off and on.He says they are junk, the problem is common. When this happens...I keep trying the eject button, so far its decided to work, though many times I think it has finally quit all together as it takes me a long time sometimes.I suggest to keep trying to make the CD play, If you have time let it play through for awhile, and then keep trying eject. Hopefully it will eventually eject.Otherwise just accept it is a low quality unit. And upgrade when you can.
This is a rewritable CD introduced in 1997. A CD-RW disc can be written and erased roughly 1000 times. While a prerecorded compact disc has its information permanently stamped into its polycarbonate plastic substrate, a CD-RW disc contains a phase-change alloy recording layer composed of a phase change material. CD-RWs are not as reliable for long-term storage; however, under recommended storage conditions, CD-RW should have a life expectancy of 25 years or more (as compared to 100+ years for CD-R)
Ok this is not very hard considdering the 1986 did not have fuel injection. find the computer and it will have a wire harness disconnect it, and you are done. Now take all the wires out from underneaath the hood by running them back through the fire wall and you are compltely finished
Well it's a little more complicated than that. I will assume you are saying the engine is the original computer controlled engine that came in the car. First of all...the engine is designed and calibrated to run with the computer and emissions. Once you start ripping things out that all changes. One of the biggest things you'll have to change is that computer controlled carb for a non comp carb. That would be bare minimum to get the thing to run right at all. It will run without it....but it'll be in limp home mode and will never run right. The other problem is the distributor. It is controlled by the computer also. You'll need to find a pre '81 distributor to swap out. There's a lot more to consider, but these are minimum things to take care of.
