Yes it is possible to play cassettes through a car CD player by using a cassette to digital adapter. The songs on the cassette will be transferred into digital format.

For updating sony DVD writer firmware you need to first know the model of your DVD writer. You can check on the cover of the writer or you can check it in Nero. Nowadays there are other softwares to get the system information. Once you know the model go to this site http://sony.storagesupport.com/models/21 there you can select your model and download the required firmware. Just go through the instructions. All you need to do it to run the program once then the firware will be updated.

If your not gonna use the player anymore or try to sell it off, than break it open or take it apart screw by screw. Unless you power it up by connecting it to a car battery and the negative lead, you wont get the CD out, with out damaging it.

No, you can write to a CD-R but not format, once it has been written to you cannot erase the data off of it, you can still write to it if you leave the disc as an open-session. A CD-RW however can be formatted and reused.

Yes, dust can get into just about anything. But if you keep the DVD case closed, it is unlikely that much dust will get into it. Depending on where you store your DVDs, the dust would get onto the top of the case, if it is sitting on a shelf with other DVDs.

My brother works in car sterero's for the past 40 years.I have dodge factory install CD player that does the same thing off and on.He says they are junk, the problem is common.When this happens...I keep trying the eject button, so far its decided to work, though many times I think it has finally quit all together as it takes me a long time sometimes.I suggest to keep trying to make the CD play, If you have time let it play through for awhile, and then keep trying eject. Hopefully it will eventually eject.Otherwise just accept it is a low quality unit. And upgrade when you can.

You can use WinRaR or any other tool that allows you to split a compressed file into 2 or more files according to the size. And set the size as you can see it written on the disk

or if you are using power ISO go to Compress-> Advanced Properties-> then click Split to Multiple Volumes. The Volume Size will be now be open and put in how much you want on each disk. I.E 1000000K (1 gig) or 1,000M 1G then go back into compress pick the files you want to compress then they will be split into however many parts depending on how much you put in the Volume Size

the rover 75 comes with the ftg unit inside the glove box. just unscrew the panel below (2 screws) and you will find the connector that plugs straight in and then feed it into the glove box (which is were your CD multi will be housed) when you get it.

If the radio/cd head is not working discs may be jammed in the magazine. Remove magazine and make sure all discs are inside. I had to take apart the 10 disc changer to remove two discs which were both 'loaded'. Be carful of the little 'shock absorbers' in there, they can rupture easily.
