When you burn a CD-R the laser makes physical identions in the surface called what?

Bumps? It's not really a matter of what they're called, but how it re-reads them. The laser simply measures the distance (or time it takes for the laser to get back to the head), then recognizes that as a 1 or a 0.

Can you burn a disc twice?

depends on what type of disc you have. If you have an RW (rewritable) then yes you can burn it again and again. but if not then no.

hope this answers our question!

What was the Advantage and diasadvantage of the Triplanes?

The Fokker Dr.1 was limited in its airspeed to 103mph. This was due to the additional drag from the 3 wings that were close to each other. Their main advantage was their superior maneuaverablity in a fight. The three short wings allowed the triplanes to be more maneuverable and have a much higher climb rate. Shorter wings allowed it to roll about the fuselage axis much faster. If it wanted to turn, the triplane would roll on its side and pull a tighter circle than the standard biplane. In addition, the Fokker was able to make a 180-degree turn without banking(flat turn) in just a few seconds. When Werner Voss fought his last dog-fight with 7 British SE-5's, the British pilots said they were chasing Voss at one moment and then in the next instant he would be flying directly at them. The Sopwith Triplanewas different from the Fokker in that (a) all 3 wings of the Sopwith were the same chord dimension(narrowest part of wing), (b) the space between the wings was greater (with respect to wing chord), and (c) each wing of the Sopwith had control surface. The disadvantage of the Fokker was its short fuselage and large hoizontal tail during landing. Just as the a/c flared to land, the tail surface would stall out and airflow from the main wings would not flow over the tail. Thus the pilot had no tail control just prior to touchdown. Custermen

Can a DVD bought in the USA be seen in France on a French DVD player?

In short no. France and much of Europe use a different system for their TV's. the US use NTSC and Europe uses PAL. They are not compatible.

The only way to get around it is to either copy the DVD to your computer and re-burn it in PAL format; or make sure that the person you are sending the DVD to has a multi-region DVD player.

Why is it useful to run the utility from a bootable floppy disk or CD rather than from windows?

Windows uses Protected Mode, which (normally) prohibits raw access to a disk drive and other hardware. Also, if a system is infected with a virus, that virus would already be active, and may affect the performance of the utility (i.e. by hiding itself, disabling the scanner, etc). By using a utility that does not need Windows, you can prevent a virus from loading, which allows for a clean scan. Or if the utility needs direct hardware access, it can do so without needing elevated privileges and/or special drivers.

Also, some motherboard functions, such as a BIOS flash, can only be performed in "unprotected mode", which is the BIOS's way of preventing a virus from infecting the BIOS (which would render the virus invincible, and/or completely damage the computer beyond repair).

Where can you buy the b sides CD by paramore?

There is no CD with all of the B-Sides. When Riot! was released on CD, a few retailers like Best Buy and Target sold different versions of the album with exclusive bonus tracks including demos, live versions, and acoustic versions. Additional songs were used as the B-sides for singles which were released on vinyl. Fans have collected all of these songs into one "album" for the purpose of organizing their iTunes collection, but the songs were released on many different albums.

Brand New Eyes also had a few B-sides, such as an acoustic version of "Ignorance" that came on the Hot Topic exclusive vinyl picture disc single, but there are fewer than there were with Riot!

The rejected tracks from Paramore's All We Know Is Falling recording session were released on The Summer Tic EP.

How do you operate a 2003 Jeep Liberty 4 wheel drive?

There is a horizontal lever on the left side of the shift lever. It is identified as the 4WD or transfer case shift lever. While parked or moving at a slow speed you can pull up on this lever one notch. This puts the vehicle in part-time four wheel drive. (this should become indicated by an instrument panel lamp). This is most common for slippery driving conditions. There are other distinct settings that are activated by additionally pulling up on lever additionally. Low 4WD setting requires some lateral movement of the lever as well as upward motion.
