What is the difference between cheerleading and wrestling?

of course cheerleading is pretty and wrestling is not so pretty

In Cheerleading, You either cheer on the sidelines for sports like football or basketball, or cheer on your own terms, your own mats for your own so called sport.

In Wrestling, depends on whether Professional wrestling, a Dramatized athletic spectacle, created from Catch wrestling and Martial arts, this kind you dont do in school.

In Amateur Wrestling, theres no submissions from Catch as Catch can (Catch),

no strikes, weapons, Professional ring, or knockouts or specific match types from professional wrestling, its just the Grappling and pinning part of professional wrestling, NOT ROLLING AROUND as many people say, and theres a points rule that goes around, if your in High school or Middle School, the takedowns, such as Double legs( Spear/ Spinebuster Esque) and High crotches or HI-Cs ( Flapjack Esque) are 2 points, Reversals are 2 points, an escape is 1 point,, a scream equals backpoints ( depends on how much they call) a pin(fall) is a 2 to 3 count and you win the match, unless its nearfall (not the pro style) 2 to 5 points, thats the scoring. There are 3 periods with 3 overtimes, 2 minute periods and 30 second overtimes, i havent even started this sport yet, and i know so much about it (NO offense at all). now thats the full difference between cheerleading and wrestling

What streches should you do to prefect your toe touches?

Lots of stradle streches! Do lots of those squats where you squat down so that both your legs are bent at 90 degree angles and press them down. Do lots of center splits, too.

Work on your core and leg strength! to do a toetouch correctly, you have to be able to use your abs to make yourself sit into the jump. you need your leg strength to pull them up. Don't forget to point your toes!

Deaths from stunts?

Last research I read (printed in 2009) Cheer over a *time period had something like 67 catastrophic injuries. That may include more than ones that caused death such as paralysis Gymnastics was #2 and it has been statistically shown to be the toughest sport in the world sooooo if the toughest got 9 and cheer got 67 there is something seriously wrong with the picture. Another interesting fact was TRACK was ranked #3 with only 7 injuries soooo if Gymnastic training can keep the injury rate nearly as low as Track..... yet cheer is at 67.... what a huge ugly mark that is on Cheer. IMHEO cheer is foolishly taught and performed. *I forget the time period.... I think it was like a 5 year run IMHEO - In My Humble EDUCATED Opinioun anti-gravityzone.com

Who invented cheerleading?

Cheerleading, as we know it today, was initiated in 1898 by Johnny Campbell, an undergraduate at the University of Minnesota, who stood before the crowd at a football game and directed them in a famous and still used yell. "Rah, Rah, Rah! Sku-u-mar, Hoo-Rah! Hoo-Rah! Varsity! Varsity! Varsity, Minn-e-So-Tah!". And so cheerleading officially began on November 2, 1898. Whether you are a cheerleader, a yell leader, a songleader or a spiritleader (variations on the term "cheerleader"), or whether you are on an all female, an all male, or a combination male/female squad, you are striving towards one goal. That goal is to effectively lead a crowd in support of an athletic team and to generate spirit and pride within a school or community. Today cheerleading enjoys a reputation of being an important leadership force on practically every high school and college campus in America. All of this is because of a man in Minnesota who couldn't stand sitting in the bleachers. He had to be in front of them! Thank you Johnny Campbell!!

It worked for me. And hey stronger abs are always a plus!!!!
