keep in mind flowmaster mufflers are chambered. so they wont flow nearly as good as say a magnaflow would. so you will get more HP with a magnaflow than a flowmaster unless you put a flowmaster outlaw series on. its pretty much just a street legal way of straight piping your truck it will flow way good but it will be loud cause there is no ceramic glass packing like magnafow has.

Somebody else may have a better way but I found it was easier for me by taking the two screws from the coolant reservoir and lifting it up out the way (without disconnecting), removing the bolts from the power steering pump (without disconnecting) and lifting it out of the way. Then remove the fan shroud. This will allow you ample room to get to and remove the alternator (which is located underneath the power steering pump). "GOOD LUCK"

Does your car stall, sometimes? often? Does it start well, or sometimes not at all? Usually when the pump goes bad, the engine will just not run at all. Does it stall on the road, then able to start up after a few minutes. Best way is to have the fuel pressure checked, although sometimes the pump will run great when you do have it checked. Do you hear the hum in the tank when this happens? Depends on the age of the car, and yes sometimes if it is confirmed that the pump is shutting down, just to have it changed. It is a fairly big job, and the cost is there. A good pump could cost around $ 200.00 plus the labor. Maybe you can find a better price. Good luck. Did you change the fuel filter?

you might just want to get a Haynes or Chiltons from your local auto parts store or amazon.com . it's a great investment

Not sure but, if it does have a bleeder it would be located at the highest point where the coolant flows in the engine.

Its not much, as I had an 84 Cougar with this engine. A 90 Ford Probe had a 3.0 V6 with 145 bhp or so and was MUCH quicker. I wanna say it was something like 125 bhp or so.

if you have driver information center control on you steering wheel hold down the return (line with arrow) key down until it resets the counter. If you do not have the DIC controls there is another way but not sure what it is dealer can tell you.

First you need a breaker bar and 19mm socket to fit the "tension bolt". Turn tension bolt clockwise to release tension in order to remove the serpentine belt.

if it is anything like my 2007 LTZ Avalanche open the endgate and there should be two screws that you take out and the hole rear tail light will come off. After that it should be clear how to remove the build if not i believe it is a 1/4" turn either to the right or the left and the bulb holder should be able to be removed from the tail light.

Ok....I have a Avalanche 2005 and I think the programing are the same. To program your Avalanche Universal Garage Door opener please follow this steps. 1. First, turn your vehicle's ignition switch to the second or accessory position. 2. Press and hold the first and third buttons at the same time and keep it pressed for 20 seconds, releasing them when the indicator light begins to flash. Now the remote is in training mode and is ready to be programed. 3. Press the desired Avalanche's remote button that you want to use, any of the three buttons, keep it press simultaneously with the button of the original handheld remote, don't release it, the light will blink slowly and then fast blinking,... now you can release the buttons. This mean that the programming was successful. 4. Press the Avalanche's desired button, if the light is solid the remote is ready. If the light blink fast for 2 seconds, that's mean that you will need to do one more step because you have what is called rolling garage door opener. 5. Go to your machine and you need to find the "learn button". (I have a Sears 3/4", the button is next were you connect the sensor wires). Press that button, you going to have 30 seconds to go back to your car and press and hold the desired button, released after 2 seconds, then press the button again to end the learning mode on the machine. The light inside the garage will blink and is ready to go. Quick review: 1. Turn the key and press the 2 side buttons for 20 sec. 2. Press the desired button and the remote button at the same time. 3. Press the desired button and if blink fast for 2 second continue the next step 4. Take the approprate sized ratchet and rotate the entire belt tensioner assebly counter clockwise. It should feel like a spring and return to its original position. Remove and add a new belt by pulling that assembly back again thats it, the diagram that explains the belt path is located under the hood on the frame somewhere

The serp belt is tensioned by a spring loaded arm and pulley it has a 3/8 square hole to release the tendion AND ITS TIGHT There is a tool to do this but you can use a 3/8 drive ratchet if you slide a 2 ft long hollow rod around the ratchet handle pole to give you the extra leverage to move the tensioner arm

6 cyl.? Look at the lower rear end of the engine.

Go to your local LORDCO auto or a PICK & PULL.

You have to take off the plastic surround around the handle for the tail gate then pull the two silver rods toward each other or toward the handle and the gate will come down. Most likely the spring has broken or the lock stop and the kit to replace the whole latch assembly is about $35.00.
