For a 2003 it is on the frame rail under the drivers side door. Don't bother taking off the black holster that holds the fuel filter onto the frame rail.

1 )Simply unscrew the nuts on both sides of the fuel filter. It will be under pressure. Wear safety goggles. A couple of cups of fuel will spill.

2) Look at the fuel line on the engine side. Notice the clip holding in the line. Remove the line from the clip.

3) Remove the fuel lines from the filter starting with the side toward the engine. This side has more play/laxity in the line.

4) Slide out the fuel filter from the black holster.

5) Slide in the new fuel filter with the flow directional arrow pointing toward the engine.

6) Attach the fuel line to the filter starting with the tank side first. Don't force it and thread out the fittings.

7) Attach the engine side fuel line. The fitting would come together by hand screwing the male into the female end. I did have to use a wrench to gently start it.

Total project time 20-40 min. Change it every 30k.

Go to public library to get the schematics used by the professional mechanics...it is on line with pictures. Have note card to keep track of what you are doing. Remove the top protector cover to the radiator so you can see what you need to. Make notes on or find the map of the serpentine belt so you can put it back on. Find the automatic adjuster spool to the serpentine belt tensioner. You have to turn it with a socket wrench to release this tensioner. Then you have to remove the serpentine belt. Remove the bolts to the alternator and replace it. The alternator you buy should have some directions or you just have have the ability to see how it fits in. once it is secure, then put back the serpentine belt back on by putting the belt on last at the tensioner. TOYOTA MAKES A LEXUS SO YOU HAVE TO EITHER BE FAIRLY MECHANICAL OR PAY THE PRICE OF OWNING ONE so you have to enjoy overcoming this and enjoy knowing you can do it with a little time, patience, prayer, and perhaps a friend. The Chevy Avalanche was "started" to have an option for both an SUV and a truck. The avalanche is both. It has the versatility of an SUV, but a bed of a truck.

You have to loosen the bolt on the top of the engine under the a/c line. It�s a 14mm bolt and you need a long extension to get to it. Then I suggest jacking up the car to get under it and the middle is a tension pulley and you have to loosen that and it also is a 14mm I think. A long box wrench works the best to get it loose. Then you can take the belt off. I am not sure how to do the power steering belt that is what I was looking for help with. To change the power steering belt 1st you need to have the A/C, alternator belt off as described above. I recommend removing the passenger front tire and safely block the car up. To the left of the power steering pump is a long bolt running up and down with the head on the bottom of the bolt. Up toward the top is a small bolt that needs to be lossened. I believe it is a 12 mm head. Once that is loosened then turn the bolt head that is on the bottom of the long bolt counter(also 12mm) clockwise till it pulls the P/S pump upward and loosens the belt. Replace the belt and reverse the procedure to tighten the new belt up.

It is easier to jack up the vehicle & place on axle stands to improve ground clearance. Locate the sensor & unplug the electrical wire, & liberally spray the threads of the O2 sensor several times with penetrating oil to overcome the effects of corrosion. Wait for 30 mins or so for the oil to work, repeat 1-2 times more. Get a good 22mm combination wrench & use steady force possibly with a short pipe extension (no longer than 12"). If that does not work try "shocking" the wrench with a soft faced hammer or mallet , copper is best for this. If still no joy, use heat from a propane torch, this almost always works but beware of a possible fire hazard as there are fuel lines under the vehicle which MUST NOT be affected by the heat of the torch! Use a plumbers fire shield for added safety.

Installing the new sensor is a lot easier than removal. Put a slight amount of antisieze on the threads, not onto the sensor head. Carefully start the new sensor into the "Y' pipe, being careful not to cross thread the sensor. Firmly tighten the sensor & re-install the electrical wire , making certain the wire cannot contact any part of the exhaust system or chaff on the engine anywhere.

Congratulations! you have now installed a new O2 sensor, hopefully engine performance & fuel economy will be improved, Well done !

The speedometer reading differences should be negligible if you spec the tyres according to the manufacturer's manual because the tyre profile for a 15" wheel would have been fatter than that of 16" for the same car. The meter is calibrated to the inflated tyre mounted on the wheel and the reading is a close approximate of the actual speed only.

The 2013 Chevrolet Black-Diamond-Avalanche has a V8 engine.

On the first body style Avalanche with the cladding there is a tab on the front turn signal housing that you need to press and remove the assembly. Once you have that out, there will be two metal bars on the headlamp assembly that you need to turn adn pull straight out. Once these have been removed the headlight assembly should come out to change the bulb or what ever you were doing.

98 do not have cabin filter. This is not correct. I have a 1998 CRV EX 4wd and just changed the filter. The filter is behind the glove box. It required that I unscrew quite a bit of the dash framing. Wasn't real difficut but it was time consuming. Took a couple of hours. Mike Dallas Texas

The first thing you need to do is remove the outer panel of the dashboard that surrounds the radio. This varies from year to year, but you'll find that there are some lag screws around the bottom panel. You may need to pop off some plastic trim to get at these screws. Once you've got the panel off, you need to pop out the radio. This can be done with the Ford radio removal tool (which costs money) or with a DIY device made by cutting a wire coat hanger and shaping two "U" type tools (which is free). Slide them in the holes (2 on each side) and put slight outside pressure on the tools and the factory radio will slide right out. Disconnect the wiring assembly and the antenna cable, and you have a clean slot, ready for your next head unit assembly. The radio removal tool may also come with some new stereos or installation kits specific to Ford Vans.

The sensor is in the fuel tank with the fuel pump. If you change the fuel sensor you should go ahead and change the fuel pump. Depending on the labor charge of the shop you use parts and labor should be 400/600 dollars.

Most cars and trucks today have what is called a serpentine belt which runs most accessories.They are very dependable and usually easy to replace. To decide if your belt needs replacing, simply look at the grooved side of the belt to see if it is cracking badly. A couple of cracks every 3 inches is normal, but if you see cracks every 1-2 inches I would recommend that you replace it. On most cars and trucks the procedure is basically the same. First off, get the correct belt by bringing your cars VIN number to the parts store(located on your cars dashboard) the parts store may need it. If there are two choices, get them both so you can complete the repair. Once you have the correct belt, take a minute to review how the belt runs across the pulleys and also check to see if your car/ truck has a underhood diagram of belt routing in case you need it. In most cases you will need a socket wrench or breaker bar with either a 3/8" and /or 1/2" head on it and possibly a short extension. Some models may require a wrench of these similar sizes.Now that you are ready to go to work, you will need to find the spring loaded tensioner which is generally located near the top of the belt path; it usually has a shinny pulley on it. Look at the tensioner and insert the tool into it and apply opposing pressure to release the belt.Now, simply install the new belt making sure it fits into the grooves on all the pulleys. Start the car to check it and you are done and you saved yourelf some money!

I believe you can simply use a deep 9/16 1/2 inch drive socket on a long extension and put the socket on the nut on the shock and simply rock the bar back and forth and break the nut off and the shock will drop down.

Automatics have 235 hp manuals have 245 hp.

Loosen the bolt on the tensioner pulley until the pulley freely slides along it's track. Put the belt on, paying close attention to the diagram that should be on the inside of your hood on a sticker. If you don't have one, don't worry, the belt will only fit when it is "wrapped" the correct way. Once you get the belt on, it will still be pretty loose. You will need to tighten it using the tensioner pulley. Make sure the tensioner pulley is tightened down completely.

All 1973 and up Elcamino's had 116" wheelbase until their demise in 1986.

It is programmed in the computer. You can get chips to overide it but is isn't safe to do so.
