What is the Fram oil filter number for 2009 Chevy colbalt?

First off Fram is one of the poorer filters made today. I highly recommend you use an AC/Delco filter. They make a highly rated quality filter that is far better than any Fram filter. Any auto parts store that sells AC/Delco can tell you the correct filter. Wix or Purolator are also excellent choices.

How do you replace 2005 cobalt front turn signal bulb?

1. You'll need your ratchet set, a flat head screwdriver, maybe needle nose plyers, and a replacement bulb.

2. You'll need to loosen (but not remove) the black, radiator cover in order to get access to the headlamp. There are 6 black, plastic, circle shaped plugs with a small circular lock on top of the black plug. Use the flat edge of the screwdriver to pry that circular lock upwards. Pull it up about an inch and then you will be able to pry out the plugs. Do this with all six plugs.

3. Next, remove the two bolts that hold the lamp in place. There are actually 4 bolts in the same general area, but you only need to remove the two that hold the lamp in place.

4. Carefully tug, twist and turn the lamp so that you pull it out of it's socket by about 8 inches. Let it sit on the bumper. This should give you enough room to access the correct bulb from the back of the lamp.

5. Turn the bulb plug counter clockwise and it will eventually pop out of the lamp.

6. Use a flat-head screwdriver to carefully apply pressure where the old bulb is connected to the black plastic base. The old bulb will pop out.

7. Push the new bulb straight into the plug. No turning required. Just straight in with a click.

8. Insert the plug back into the lamp, turn it clockwise to lock it into place.

9. Shimmy and twist the lamp back into position and screw it back into place.

10. Use your fingers to put the 6 black circle shaped plugs back into place. Just position them over the hole, make sure the small circle is pulled all the way out, push the big circle through the hole, then push the small cicle down to lock it into place. Sounds difficult, but once you see it done a single time, you'll be an expert.

If the bulb didn't break, the entire job would have taken me 15 minutes at most. Good luck!

Where is the air filter on a 2005 Volvo S40?

Where is the CABIN air filter?

The cabin filter is located in the worst spot ever for a part that should be replaced every 12,000 miles. It is next to the gas pedal which is a hard part to reach. What you need to do is pull down the carpeting next to the gas pedal, remove the plastic panel that covers the area under the stearing wheel. (this may not be required, but gives you way more room to move around.) Then you need to take off 3 10mm nuts to get the gas pedal out. This is purely an electronic pedal so once you take the 3 nuts off the pedal will still be connected to the wires but you can swing it out of the way. After this you can remove the screws that hold the cover of the cabin air filter housing. This was probably THE MOST FRUSTRATING service I have ever done to any car I have ever owned. It may be worth it to just have the dealer do it. You need a long and flexible socket extension to get at the nuts. I am not sure why Volvo put it in such a horrible position. It sounds like it was in a better spot in previous years. -afcab

Actually, it is much easier than the last post. All you need to do is open the hood, remove two screws from a rectangular plastic box in front of the latch, where the air intake tube is and then slide the panel out that was fastenedwith the screws you removed. That panel, which you will see after you slide it out, contains the air filter. It's that easy!!The previous guy who posted the other directions must work for a dealer. Under the gas pedal...whatever!

The answer that I crossed out is pertaining to the engine air filter. This discussion is to where the CABIN air filter is. Which is precisely where I described it in the first paragraph at the top. Why would working for a dealer change the location of the filter?

How do you remove front bow tie emblem cobalt?

Not Necessary but helps a lot:

Jack the front of the car up on both sides and remove the front wheels.

Remove the bolts that hold the plastic fender well up. If you look at the seam where the front bumper cover meets the right front corner panel (one's metal and one's plastic) there are more bolts to remove.

Pop the hood, and remove the push locks that hold the plastic bumper to the metal frame in front of the engine on top of the radiator. The front bumper cover should fall off (if you don't want it scratched lay a towel down in front to lay the bumper on.

From there, remove the two bolts that hold the front Chevy symbol to the bumper cover. and pop it off.

How long does it take to replace crankshaft sensor Chevy Cobalt?

I have a 08 Chevy Cobalt. It took me about an hour and a half to replace the crank position sensor. Disconnect your battery and unbolt your starter; you can leave the starter wired up just move it out of your way. The sensor sits behind the starter. Be careful when disconnecting the plug for the sensor so you don't break it. You can disconnect is from up top so you can see what you're doing. Replace sensor, replace starter, reconnect your battery, and your back on road.
