What causes kids to hyperventilate?

Stress and anxiety lead to rapid breathing, and when the level of carbon dioxide in the blood is reduced, it can lead to dizziness and further panic. Any underlying cause should be treated, and doctors may recommend psychological therapy and/or breathing training if this persists. (see related link)

How much should a 4ft 5 girl weigh?

At the age of 10 years old, I was a few inches taller than four feet. At the time, I was about 62 pounds. I ate, but I was very slim.

How do you avoid bad smell sweat?

Control your diet, don't eat things with strong and unpleasant odor like garlic or onion. Alcohol might also be a reason. Washing more often might help.

Drink 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water per day to flush out fats and toxins in the body. DON'T wear rayon, nylon shirts, blouses, but cotton. Cotton breaths! Watch what you are eating and keep a diary. We are all different and certain foods can leave us with bad breath, upset tummy, constipation, diarrhea, body odor or vaginal odor in women or odor in men when urinating.

if you are worried about the smell of your sweat, even though you shower and apply deodorant, I would try a more expensive deodorant, from one of the good cosmetics brands (the roc one and the lancome one are espscially good), they simply work!

All the posters are correct, but I wanted to add that it's your body chemistry that could be the problem. There are many people that are hygenically clean, but still have body odor. See your doctor! They can help you with this problem. Also, NEVER wear synthetic clothes, but cotton. If you are getting dressed up for the evening it's OK to wear something with a cotton/nylon blend, but for work wear at least cotton blouses or shirts. Synthetic fabrics don't allow your skin to breath. This includes underwear!

Where deodorants and soaps fail, only special anti-odor liquids, commonly sold as cleansing foams (for example BromEX foamer) will do. They contain natural malodor solutions made from ribwortand liquorice root. These herbs are well-known for their gentle germicide effects!

What most people do not know about body odor: in many cases the reeking has nothing to do with personal hygiene, neither with the daily washing routines nor with the usage of soap or deodorants. As a matter of fact there are lots of people, suffering from a commonly unknown disorder called bromhidrosis, a innocuous but distracting illness which causes a permanent and penetrative malodor. The main cause of bromhidrosis is the bacterial flora of the skin. From this it follows that the main symptom of bromhidrosis is uncontrolled growth of special dermal bacteria. These bacteria assimilate the sweat on the skin, creating by-products like butanoic acid and formic acid which we recognize as the typical 'smell of sweat'.

What is the main cause of smoking?

Kids usually try smoking out of curiosity, or because people close to them smoke -- friends, brothers or sisters, parents. Kids can also be influenced to try smoking if people they admire, like sports heroes, movie stars, and singers smoke, and they can be influenced by ads that make smoking look glamorous and fun. Eventually, if they try it often enought to get the hang of it, they find that the nicotine in cigarettes makes them feel good, and they start to smoke for pleasure or to avoid feeling tense. Eventually, they may become addicted to the nicotine, which means they feel bad if they don't smoke. Many grownups stop because they're afraid of the diseases you can get if you smoke for many years, but kids, who are too young to be worried about the diseases, keep starting, so there's a new supply of smokers!

What age can a child eat liver?

YES! Liver is a great first meat to introduce to your baby. My son started solids around 5 months and I made pureed meat for him close to 6 months. Liver is very high in iron, protein, and vitamins A & B. I sauteed calf liver pieces with onions and carrots, pureed in a blender with some breast milk and then mixed with a mashed potato. Super baby food!

Can you move a broken knuckle?

Well, right now at the moment i have a splint thingy on my wrist. I just recently got my cast off maybe 2 weeks ago. My wrist was broken really badly, 2 bones were broken, it broke right at my growth plate, and on top of that it broke at a slanted angle. So, since I'm still growing, my doctor wanted my bones to be aligned and stay aligned perfectly so my wrist would grow the way it was supposed to. I almost had to have pins put into my wrist, and the day i went in to have the surgery to put the pins in, they changed their mind at the last minute and decided to just replace my cast. I had to stay off of school for probably about 2 weeks, maybe a little bit more, because my doctor & dad didn't want my bone to move. See, since my bone was broken in a slant, it slid out of place VERY easily. The day i went to the ER, when i first broke it, they had to replace my cast 3 times because my bone kept sliding/moving. SO, my answer to your question is, i couldn't move MY broken wrist, so you probably shouldn't either.

How long should a baby sleep at night?

A baby sleeps for as long as it need's to! first, consider the age of the baby, first born usually sleep more than they are awake. again, the age has much to do with this question, so it's hard to narrow a correct answer, and there are so many other issues that could effect a babies sleep pattern. have a nice day~....

How do you know if a baby is a midget?

You don't know when they are a baby unless the baby is taken to the doctor for an examination. Without a doctor's visit, you would just compare the child to others in school as they get older and in the higher grade levels.

Is 130 pounds considconsidered overweight for a 12-year-old girl?

It depends on the height of the girl. Here is a link to a website where you can calculate your BMI for free: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

It's important to speak to your doctor if you are concerned that you may be overweight. More than your outward appearance as a concern, your inner health should be of great concern as well. Your seven month old has a lump on his head from falling down while he was standing should you be concerned?

Any bad bump should be checked out by your doctor or even a clinic. Concusion can occur or even blood clots (not trying to scare you) and unless your son is complaining of dizziness, feeling sick to his stomach then he's probably fine. To put your own mind at rest please see the doctor. Good luck Marcy Yes, check it out. My daughter has a bump on her head on her corner of her forhead, and it mishaped her head. The Dr. just says its calcium buildup and she can get it 'shaved' off later. What a joke. This was an accident at the pool, a kid pushed her into the cement side of the pool. Over the years, this thing grew. I would have sued if I would have known better so she CAN afford to get it 'shaved', gruesome. Ridiculous, and caused my daughter nothing but grief over her childhood. VW

How many calories should an inactive 14 year old girl consume?

usually the amount of calories most people should have is 1200. but here is the simplest way to find your basic daily calorie needs: Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) = 24 x Weight (lb)/2.2 OR Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) = 24 x Weight (kg) The BMR is then multiplied by a number representing the individuals activity level: Sedentary BMR x 1.45

Light BMR x 1.60

Medium BMR x 1.70

Heavy BMR x 1.88 So for example if you weigh 125 pounds and hit the aerobic studio 3 times per week your daily caloric requirements would be: 1.70 x (24 x 125/2.2) = 1.70 x 1363.63 = 2318

Generally, eating more than this number of calories increases weight and less than this number allows weight reduction. However, BMR does not take into account extremes of activity or inactivity. Therefore, BMR should be used as an approximation.
