I would say that my 1998 S-10 does not have a PCV valve, at all, anywhere.

Engine Size? Anyways, look on one of the valve covers, I believe you will find it there.

The PCV valve on the 2002 3.8 Liter Supercharged engine (in my case it's a Pontiac GTP) is located under the plastic cover at the top of the supercharger towards the back. A oval shaped black plate covers the PCV valve. The plate is secured with two bolts (10mm). Some report problems with regards to the integrity of these bolts so be careful not to over torq them when re-installing them. Recommended torq is 78lb. There is a spring pushing against the bottom of that plate that holds the PCV valve tight against its rubber seat. There is also a gasket between the black plate and the supercharger housing. Replacing that gasket is also a good idea when replacing the PCV valve.

Out the back side of the valve cover (that thing with the oil cap in the middle of it), on the right side of it. Don't pull the one on the left backside, as that one goes over to your air filter. Just pull out, and replace; do not pay for this repair, as it is just too simply done.

When facing the engine in front of the vehicle: the PCV valve is behind and to the right of the furthest sparkplug to the right. The valve is checked by removing (disconnecting the hose, then pulling the valve straight out) and shaking it. A rattling sound means the valve is functional. If not, it may be stuck open or closed and needs replacing.

on the intake manifold right before it enters the head, you'll see a hose coming from it goin back into the manifold, its about 1-2 inchs black, and shoudl jsut pop out of the hole. Shake it, if it rattles, its stille good, if not replace it, usually bout 3-5 bucks I found the PCV valve on my 98 civic in front of but under the air filter box. I needed a flashlight to see it. It was a pain to get in there and try to replace it. I think you need to remove a lot of pieces to work comfortably in there.

I believe it is located on the passenger side valve cover. You will have to remove the air surge tank to access it.

When you attempted to start the car did you hear any sounds from under the hood of the car e.g. the starter attempting to turnover your engine? Make sure your vehicle battery is good because since previously your motor was running over 5 minutes, if you have a bad alternator that could have killed the battery. If you heard no sound, check the battery connectors to make sure they are connected. Make sure your battery is good, use a volt meter to test for 11 to 12 Volts (Any Auto part store will also test your battery free of charge. Once you have verified the Battery does the car now start? IF YES: Maybe your battery needs to be replaced (check how long you had this battery), if the battery is pretty new and needed to be replaced or recharged from you running the motor previously for over 5 minutes check your alternator is bad (dashboard should show your battery light, which will remain on in RED if your experiencing alternator issues when your motor is running) IF NO: Listen to hear if you hear the starter? Did you hear the starter (The start make like a repeated sound) No sound then you need to check your starter to make sure your starter is working. IF YES The starter is attempting to turnover your pulley wheel (The Pulley wheel uses a belt (Timing Belt) that is connected up to your engines for timing& combustion purposes which needs to turnover the motor continually) Depending on the last time you changed your timing belt the belt could now be worn-out (BIG Job) If you

3800 engine. It's hard to see. It's on the passenger side under the wiring harness for the injectors. you have to pull them out of the way to get to it.

Additionally: I rotated my engine to get access to the pcv, and changed the three sparkplugs back there while I had access. Using the slope of the driveway as a helper, I was able to swing the engine just by grabbing the top and pulling it toward me. Jonny

The PCV valve on the 4 cylinders is typically located on the back of the valve cover to the right, near the intake.

if you look towards the left of the engine there is a black hose going into the engine with a big plastic nut....just twist the black nut and then pull the hose out and you should see the PCV valve hanging from the end. Just pull it off and replace....

At the front of the engine, you'll see the radiator hose, then an AC line, and underneath a plastic shroud, you'll see another hose. Take off the plastic shroud by removing the screw at the top of the shroud. The PCV valve is held in by a screw fitting, back it off and you'll find the PCV, pull it off the hose attached to it and replace.

You do not adjust PCV valves. You just replace them. Now if you are referring to the intake and exhaust valves, then you need to have this done by a professional. Severe engine damage can occur if this is not done correctly. Only a job for an expert.

The PCV valve is on top of the drivers side engine valve cover

A mechanic needs to know which oil to select for the various moving parts of a car. The oil you use in the gear box is usually a higher viscosity than the oil used in the engine. The engine uses different viscosity oils depending on the seasonal temperature.

2000- 2004 1.8t have the pcv valve on the top rear of engine. It's two connections are 90 degrees to each other. Black part with a disk shaped top.

on passenger side of motor on top under a rubberr seal pop the cap off the remove the pcv valve but becareful it is spring loaded and will pop up out of the hole. make sure to putt it back together the same way it came out.

Take off the engine cover (unscrew the oil fill tube). It is located in a molded in capsule located in/on top of the intake manifold near the altnernator end of the manifold. It has an electrical connector and a twist off cap. Dealer has a kit for it with spring, gasket , and valve for about $15.
