Where is the pcv valve located on a 1990 Buick LeSabre?
The general area of the PCV is located on the intake manifold. It has a small hose attached to it and you will need needle nose pliers to remove it. It's close to, and almost underneath the alternator. The grommet will most likely break when you take it out and some of may fall inside of the engine.
Where is the PCV valve located on a 1997 Ford Contour?
...everyone should have a manual for their vehicle(parts store or dealer), and a local library should have professional shop manuals available in the REFERENCE section for free...make copies of the appropriate sections...read up and good luck :)
How does a four stroke exhaust power valve work?
Valve operation:
The valves are generally powered by an electronic actuator, which activates (opens) at a certain engine RPM, ideally the actuator would be tuned to operate the valve continuously over the entire rev range, with the valve blocking the flow at low rpm, and opening up to allow free flow of exhaust gases at high rpm.
Why it works?
The 4 stroke exhaust powervalve increases backpressure, depending on engine configuration this may be to reduce inlet charge flowing out of the cylinder on engines with large valve overlap (both inlet and exhaust valves open). This is just an opinion, im not an expert on the subject. But i am awesome.
Will a clogged PCV valve cause the engine to idle high?
Probably not. But a failed one will have an effect on the air pressure in the intake manifold and this could cause problems with high idle. Take the pipe off the intake manifold and blow down the pipe. It should be blocked. Take the pipe off the engine and blow down it and air should pass freely. Make sure the pipes are not split or leaking at the joints.
Where is PCV valve on a Ford E150?
take off the dog house cover, and as you in the inside of the vehicle it will be on the right hand side, on top of the valve cover the farthest away from the radiator. just be careful of the vacuum lines not to break them, and I did, because they tend to be very brittle.
HELLO FELLOW 87 PRELUDE OWNER!! YOUR PCV VALVE IS LOCATED UNDER YOUR TWO CARBS.YOU CAN BARELY SEE IT BUT THERE IS A SMALL BLACK BOX,IT HAS A HOSE ON TOP OF IT GOING IN THE BOX;THAT IS WHERE IT IS.ONE END IN THE BLACK BOX, THE OTHER IN THE HOSE.
The PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve is located on the right of the valve cover near the front of the engine. There is a hose from the valve to breather or air cleaner. The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is under the air cleaner close to the fuel rail. These both have a difficultly level of zero, but may take you a little while longer if you haven't worked on cars much. :o)
The PCV valve should be under the intake manifold- pretty tough to get to w/o actually taking off the manifold. The EGR valve should be on the intake manifold itself. The O2 sensor should be threaded into the exhaust manifold(id by wire attached to it). Good Luck;)
How do you replace the crank shaft in a front wheel drive car?
Remove the entire engine, strip it down to pretty well the block and start all over.
Replacing the crank shaft in any internal combustion is pretty much the same. It entails removing the engine, having machine work done on it, new bearings on the connecting rods, etc. It's not a job for a DIYer unless you have a lot of time and a good working knowledge of engines. The tolerances and very tight and specific.
The cylinders may need to be rehoned or even cut and opened up, new pistons and rings installed etc. It is not for the faint at heart!
Yes

Where is the PCV valve located on a 2000 Dodge Intrepid?
On 2.7L engines the PCV valve is threaded into the intake plenum above the throttle body. On 3.2/3.5 engines it is on the rear drivers side of the plenum. Both engines have hoses attached going to the drivers side valve cover.

How do you fix too much oil in crankcase?
Drain some out of the engine by quickly removing and then reinserting the drain plug when you think enough oil has drained. Might be a little messy, but its quick and easy.
Where is the pcv valve located on a 1991 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme?

Where is the PCV Valve located at on a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero?
Look on the front valve cover and it is to the right of the oil fill cap. There will be a black hose going to it that makes a 90 degree angle. Pull that off and then pull the PCV out.
Did you overfill the oil?
i have a 02 escape and the valve is located on the right front side of the motor (drivers side) but i had to remove the upper intake manifold (big black piece of plastic) and the thorttle body plus the injectors metal bar to be able to reach it. by the way, it's not a metal valve but plastic and has a square plastic form that you can use to turn it. hopefully this help's.

How do you replace crank sensor on 2004 Chevy Impala?
It is located behind the large crankshaft/harmonic dampner or pully on the belt drive end of the engine. You have to find it, maybe clean the area of dirt and grease, then see if you have access to the mounting screw. If not you have to remove the pully.
i have never run into a screen on the pcv valve at lest not that old of a 5.o I have the same car and there is a screen under the pcv. I have a 1988 Grand Marquis with the 302 engine. There is a metal mesh filter under the pcv valve. This filter is about 3/4 inch wide and 3/4 inch thick. To remove the filter, the large rubber grommet that the PCV valve sits in must first be pulled out of the engine block ( by hand). Then you can reach in and get a fingernail under one of three small tabs on the top of the filter and pull the filter out for cleaning. The PCV valve is located on the top of the engine block, at the back of the engine close to the fire wall, near the center of the block. All you can see of the factory installed PCV is a thin metal ring between the hose that connects to it and the grommet it sits in. I was able to remove and replace the PCV, grommet, and filter with my left hand while laying over the engine from the passenger side.
