Where do you find the crankshaft position sensor on a 98 Chevy Metro?

Hi there, You can find the Engine Crankshaft sensor for a 1998 Chevy Metro in the bottom front of the oilpan. Note, it goes thru the oilpan but, it's Not part of the oilpan or in the "oil chamber" itself. It's held in place with two (2) bolts. No oil will come out when you remove it. There is one (1) electrical connector on the sensor. Note, this can be easily mistaken for the oil pressure sensor. Note, they are prone to getting "dirty", so clean it off after removing. Good luck. Then the pump is pulled straight up without removing the fluid lines. The sensor is held in place with 1 bolt.

I think it's called a cranking sensor good luck
