How old do you have to be to choose which parent you want to live with?

Your question is tricky and could be complicated from a legal stand point now from my understanding there is no legal age; it is solely up to the parents and the child. Question is "does the parent you want to live with want you?" If so and the other parent is not willing to let you go then a custody battle just may have to take place. This is really up to the parents so maybe you need to have a talk with them and explain why you want to live with that parent. Remember Respect both of there wishes for you! There may be other issues pertaining to this sensitive subject. For instance "can the other person competently be a parent and a provider for you?" If you have any more questions fell free to e- mail me at: baby_junebug84@yahoo.com I hope I have been of help to you GOOD LUCK! Here is some legal stuff that may help you better understand what would happen if a custody battle should occur - (1) The court first shall determine the reasoning ability of the child. If the court determines that the child does not have sufficient reasoning ability to express the child's wishes and concern with respect to the allocation of parental rights and responsibilities for the care of the child, it shall not determine the child's wishes and concerns with respect to the allocation. If the court determines that the child has sufficient reasoning ability to express the child's wishes or concerns with respect to the allocation, it then shall determine whether, because of special circumstances, it would not be in the best interest of the child to determine the child's wishes and concerns with respect to the allocation. If the court determines that, because of special circumstances, it would not be in the best interest of the child to determine the child's wishes and concerns with respect to the allocation, it shall not determine the child's wishes and concerns with respect to the allocation and shall enter its written findings of fact and opinion in the journal. If the court determines that it would be in the best interests of the child to determine the child's wishes and concerns with respect to the allocation, it shall proceed to make that determination.

I lost my kid to cps to my sister which she adopted him and i signed my parental rights over is there anyway i could regain custody of him?

So i lost my kid to cps and my sister adopted him so yes i did sign my parental rights away. my kid has a lot of disabilities and behavioral issues right now and my sister can't handle him at the moment because she is currently pregnant with her 2nd child and is completely a mess. well my mom tells me the things courtney and her husband do and say to him. first my sister has him refer her as mom and i am not. 2. my sister yells at him and tells him horrible things like "i am going to sell you" "your a S*** head" sometimes i wish i wouldn't of adopted you" your to hard to handle" and her husband treats him so differently than his own kids. like one day my mom went over there and mason wouldn't take a bath so her husband dragged him in the bathroom and tried to force him in the tub mason started kicking and screaming and it was just uncalled for i know my sister has taken care of him when i couldn't but now its to a point where i hate how she yells and talks to him. He is going to grow up having even more issues because those words will effect you all your life and he already has addiction running in my side and his father is a paranoid schizophrenic. Mason is attached to my mom so thank god i get to see him when he is at her house and he rarley acts up with me i have so much more patience with him and now i am starting to think he would be better off with me. is there anyway i can try and regain custody if i prove that i have turned my life around and if i have video evidence that he is being mistreated over there. i mean there isn't any physical abuse happening but most definitely mental abuse and emotional abuse is happening. please let me know if there is anything i can do to get him back

Can two men father one child?

Not in biological terms. The egg shuts out the contribution of additional sperm once fertilization happens. If two sperm fertilized an egg, the number of chromosomes would result in a non-viable embryo.

What visitation rights does an Aunt have?

In order for an Aunt to have visitation rights granted they have to show they are an interested party usually during a custody decision. The parents are separating and the Father's sister has always visited the child and been a part of their life. Now the mother is getting full custody the Aunt can petition the court that as a party interested in the child's life and welfare they be granted visitation rights. Otherwise as with grandparents if the parents are together then visitation is at the sufferance of the parents.

Can the biological father of a child be made to pay support if he is not he legal father?

  • A biological father is the father of the child. A step-father is not. If the step-father has legally adopted the child that is not his when married then yes, he would have to pay support. If not married and the child is not his then no, he does not have to pay child support, but he may have to go to court to resolve the matter.

Applying for guardia?

Applying for guardianship in Texas is quite an involved process and it requires the participation of many individuals and several documents. Here's a link to the Texas Guardianship Association. It lists the people and the documents you need to petition for guardianship. If this seems unclear to you or if it seems like what they offer does not apply to your certain situation, please let me know, and I will see what else I can do to help you. http://texasguardianship.org/guardianship-basics/guardianship-process-2/

Toy BBQ Grills Are Great for Tot Chefs in Training?

When parents want to give a special gift to their young chef-to-be, there is perhaps no choice better than a toy barbecue grill. Kids can imitate their mother and father during barbecues, learning the ropes of outdoor cooking without the risk of being burned by a hot barbecue grill. After a child develops safe cooking methods with the toy version, parents can promote their progeny to barbecue chef in chief while they relax and wait for dinner.

I have a question about my buisness that does not fit in to any categories listed. It is a SVM. Supe?

I have a question about my buisness that does not fit in to any categories listed. It is a SVM. Supervised Visitation Monitor. I monitor visits between children and the non custodial parent when a court order has been issued that a monitor is needed. Trouble is that there really is no license for this, I think there should be.But for now you just take some classes , fill out a simple form send in to social service dept or courts and your name is on the list. It does say on these lists that they are not reponsible for any one on that list. Which , to me what kind of sense does that make? How would I go about getting more clients? I have my name registered with one county court and the SVN to which I pay a fee every year. I have even sent out letters to lawyers introducing myself and put in cards. I got my first job this way. I am however having trouble getting on the other court lists in my area as they want to charge me a lot to take their classes and then be put on provider list. which should not even be legal as they are taking over that buisness in that area.

If you have a choice, would you put your child in kindergaten full time or for just a half-day?

As a parent I would put my child in kindergarten full time because my child would get a lot more instruction. Allowing a full day of school based activities for my child at an early age is best in my opinion.
