On ANY vehicle where the ABS light stays on, it means a computer believes there is a problem with the anti-lock brake system.
Vehicles with ABS have sensors at the wheels to determine if they are rolling or stopped. If a wheel is stopped or "locked up" while the vehicle is moving, that means it's skidding. The sensor will signal the computer to reduce braking pressure on that wheel, ending the skid. In practice, this happens many times per second, resulting in a "pulsing" sensation at the brake pedal.
If one or more sensors isn't providing a proper signal (whether or not the vehicle is moving), the ABS computer will trigger the warning light. A problem with the computer itself (including lack of power) can also trigger the warning, and the first thing to check is whether the ABS circuit has a blown fuse.
However, the most common cause is either a bad sensor or damaged wiring from the sensor to the computer. This can be checked relatively easily by removing wheels and examining the sensors and wiring at each wheel. If the wiring is cracked or frayed, or the sensor is cracked or damaged, repairing the wiring or replacing the sensor will probably fix the problem.
If those checks don't detect the problem, the vehicle probably will have to be plugged into a dealership's computer to determine the exact cause.
While it's not a good idea to drive with non-working ABS, the warning light does NOT necessarily indicate a problem with the overall brake system -- it just means the anti-lock system may not be working. Otherwise, the brakes should operate normally, unless the brake warning light is on as well.

1) pop the hood
2) the clearance light is the top of the two light bulb assemblies furthest to the side
3) turn the assembly counter clockwise and the assembly will dislodge and come out
4) replace the bulb, I take care not touching the bulb with bare fingers
5) replace the assembly, there are tabs on the assembly that mate with notches in the headlight assembly, and tighten back in with clockwise turn

To get to the dash lights, first you will need to remove the plastic shroud around your steering column. the bolt size is 7/32. use a Deepwell socket, 1/4 inch rachet and extention to reach into the shroud to loosen it. Remove the top portion of the shroud and set aside. the bezel around the cluster has two push pin style clips. push the centers in to loosen the clips. do not push to far, for the pins will push through and be lost in the dashboard. after the bazel is off, locate the two screw covers in the center of the upper dash plate. pry them off gently, and us a 7mm socket to remove the hold down bolts. pry the upper dash plate with some force to loosen the metal clips holding it in place. once the entire front edge is loose, lift up, and pull out to remove. there are two screws behind the cluster 8mm i believe, that hold the cluster in from behind. you can also disconnect the wireing harness at this point. in the front of the cluster in the lower left and right corners, 2 more screws hold the cluster in. remove these screws and the cluster should come out. you may have to tilt your steering wheel all the way down in order to fit it out.

Recently my 2000 ZX3 started to have problems with starting. It started just fine, I drove for about 15 minutes, shut off the vehicle. When i came back to restart it, It wouldn't restart. I had the vehicle jumpstarted and it started right up. My multi-function warning light came on (the Exclamation mark surrounded by the jagged circle), The vehicle is not over heating, I had the alternator checked and it was giving off 14.6 volts. It runs fine once it starts but as soon as it shuts off it wont start again. It wont even attempt to turn the engine over. I hooked up a spare battery to try and start the vehicle and 3 out of 4 attempts to turn the key i can hear the click of the starter. Once its hooked up to a running vehicle it starts immediatly. Some times while its running the Multi-function light will shut off but turn on immediatly and when it does it feels like the vehicle bogs down until the light goes off. Now the light is on all the time and I'm at a loss.

How do you disassemble the dashboard of a 2000 Toyota Sienna?
To remove the dashboard (the part that covers the instrument) to change the instrument light bulbs.
1) On the left side of dashboard where the light dimmer and the left mirror controls are, there is a screw. You have to get on your knees and look up.
2) Remove the screw
3) There is a plastic cover over the heater control that snaps off. Use a screwdriver and snap the left side and then the right side fasteners.
4) After removing the cover from the heater control, you will see 2 screws, one to the left and one to the right (remember to look up). Remove these screws and now the dash is ready to come off.
5) Use a screwdriver to run against the edges. Start from the left and pop the fasteners.
6). On the left, unplug the wires attached to the mirror and dimmer control.
7) On the right unplug the wire for the heater control
8) Towards the center is another wire for the clock and a light bulb that lights up the ignition. Remove the wire from the clock and be careful with the wire for the ignition light because it has a tint bulb. I didn't see it and the bulb broke. Also remove the rubber cover over the ignition.
9) The dash is ready to come off with some twisting.
10) Unscrew the instrument panel and replace the blown bulbs with # 194 bulbs. There is a total of 4 ea. #194 bulbs (one on each side & 2 in the center). You can find them at Walmart

Just had the same problem with my 2006 Toyota Corolla. With my specific Toyota, I turned the key to ACC and held the Low Tire Pressure button in until the lamp on the dashboard lit three times. Then, I turned the key off and repeated the procedure. This evidently works (we'll see). With other Toyotas, there is a Tire Pressure Sensor reset button underneath the dashboard directly below the steering column. You follow the same procedure as described above, making sure to repeat the procedure a second time. Hope this helps.
