Under the hood, behind the headlight itself. grab the bulb housing, and rotate it counter-clockwise. pull straight out to remove. replace bulb and install in reverse order.

On the '97 model this is very difficult to do as there is no room to access the housing. Raise the hood; on top of the ledge above the headlight there are two flat strips of metal with catch slots on them, a tab at a 90 degree angle to the strip; push back and at the same time pull up on the strip and the the entire headlight assembly comes free of the well. THEN follow the above instructions.

I also have a 1997 Monte Carlo LS 3.1 and I've had the same problem. It was the alternator.

This happened to me arter about 2 years of ownership. The dodge dealership tested all 3 computors and finally came up with the airbag going to "sleep" once they "woke" it up the problem went away and hasn't come back since. I didnt know that the airbags even got tired but apparently they do. The dealership fixed it but it wasnt cheap about 700.00 later I was able to once again know how fast I was going and how much fuel I had. hope this helps.

SRS is the suplemental restraint system, if its on it means there is something wrong with either a sensor or an airbag itself. You should bring it in to a mechanic and have it checked to be sure, or if your use to driving older model cars without an airbag system you can go without this feature.

The speed sensor tells how fast the wheels are turning. The cruise control uses this to maintain the speed. When you get the code for speed sensor it is not working properly.

I have a 1994 Ford Taurus SHO and ever couple of weeks this OVERDRIVE OFF lite flashes for a couple of days then goes off. I suspect it has something to do with the transmission and its electronic sensors. Take your car to a transmission shop and hook up an analyzer to the ECM for the transmission. It also can be related to the Vehicle Speed Sensor. This sensor feeds to the ECM and if defective will disable the electronic Overdrive.

The speedometer sensor is located on the top of the transmission. It is held on by one bolt. Remove the bolt and gently pull and turn the speedometer sensor and the whole assembly will come out of your transmission.

If any car vibrates at approx. 2000 rpm in higher gears I would suggest checking out the tyres. They may need balancing. If tyres are not balanced after wearing down they will twist and warp. Not so much that you could tell by looking, most good shops have a machine to fix this problem. Worst case scenario it could be the wire in the tyre wall that has broken to cause the imbalance. If this is the case then you're at risk from a blow out. Bottom line: don't drive around with a vibrating car!Tyres are cheaper than caskets.

Without knowing your exact brand of car, this is a difficult question to answer. The first thought I have would be that your vehicle has an immobilizer, in which case you will need to take the immobilizer off before you can start the vehicle. If it's not the case that you have an immobilizer on your vehicle, I would suggest you refer to the owner's manual for your car, or contact a dealership.

NOT SURE WHY DASH IS FLICKERING, BUT IF THE CLICKING SOUND IS LIKE A LOUD WIND UP CLOCK THE SAME PROBLEM I HAD WITH MY 91, AFTER IT WAS SERVICED, TURNED OUT TO BE MY BLEND DOOR ACTUATOR FOR THE AC UNIT. THE BLEND DOOR OPENS AND CLOSES TO LET HEATED AIR IN WHEN YOU ADJUST AC CONTROLS TO WARMER OR COLDER.THE DOOR WAS STUCK. TURNED OUT IT WAS A VERY BIG JOB TO GO INTO DASHBOARD AND CHANGE 10.00 PART, SO I JUST LET THE ELECTRIC MOTOR RUN ITSELF OUT, BEING THAT I LIVE IN HAWAII AND WILL NEVER USE HEATER. IT TOOK A WHILE BEFORE THE ANNOYING TIME BOMB CLICKING STOPPED AND NOW THE DOWNSIDE AND THE RESULT OF NOT FIXING IT IS, A HARD RIGHT WILL CLOSE ACTUATOR DOOR AND AC WILL ONLY RUN ON HIGH, ANY ADJUSTING TO A LOWER TEMP AND THERE IS NOT ENOUGH BLOWER FAN FORCE TO KEEP ACTUATOR DOOR CLOSED AND A HARD LEFT WILL OPEN DOOR AND LET HOT AIR INTO CAR CABIN, ONLY ANOTHER HARD RIGHT WILL CLOSE IT AGAIN. VERY ANNOYING.

IF the ABS light is on there has been a malfunction with the anti-lock brakes. Only the dealer or an authorized repair center will be equiped with the proper tools to check that light and the components in the anti-lock system.

The computer has detected a problem with the Anti-Lock Brake System, (ABS). Your ABS may or may not be functional. Have this looked at by a professional.

Most fuel gauge problems are caused by a faulty fuel gauge sending unit. The fuel gauge sending unit is located inside the fuel tank. In most cases the fuel tank must be removed to replace the sending unit.

1.Turn the ignition switch to the ON
