a: ASR - Acceleration Skid Control - The warning light flashes whenever a drive wheel has exceeded its grip limit, regardless of the road speed.

b: If this lamp lights up when the engine is running, there is a fault in the ASR system.

c: If none of above check the tyre pressures

A warning light that looks like this or says SRS should NEVER come onunless there is a fault in your vehicle's air bag system supplemental restraint system or SRS). You can drive the vehicle but the air bag(s) will NOT deploy should you be involved in an accident. You should have the problem diagnosed and repaired at your earliest convenience.

Short in the wiring. If you have a trailer wiring harness check it for frayed wires. The tailight circuit and the dash lights share a circuit on many vehicles. I hope this helps you. Mark

if I am not mistaken, the lights in the dash are from fiber-optic lines that go to the switches from the cluster lights. also originate from the rheostat in cluster.

There may be a grounding problem in the dash light assembly, or the shield that contains the light may be damaged.

Bring to a shop that has an ABS scanner to determine problem. It can be many things including wheel sensors, ABS pump, or bent ABS ring located on your CV axle or rear hub assembly.

Having a short in the turn signal wiring can cause gauges to fluctuate. If the battery gauge is fluctuating corrosion on the cables can be a possible cause.

You will have to change the coolant temperature sender that's directly by the firewall.

There are two coolant temp senders - the other one, by the water pump, controls the electric fan.

You will also have to change the oil pressure sending unit.

I'd highly recommend getting brand-new sending units - they are relatively inexpensive and have a warranty.

Most probable cause is the drive cable between gearbox and speedo has broken.

It's tricky but not hard. You first take the screws off up top; they are inside the black shroud around the cluster. You will need a very short philips screwdriver. Small hands help. Next, there are two 'umbilical' cables that need to be disconnected from underneath the actual cluster unit. They are accessed by removing the plastic tray by holder & kick panel under the steering wheel. Again it's a weird angle but they pull straight down. Finally, the 'weird part': The cluster itself will lift up, out of two pronged slots, but then it can be frustrating to actually bring it out. Try turning the steering wheel to one side, and also 'tipping' the cluster back down in the dash recess and play with different angles. You'll still be a bit tight, but once you get the right angle it will simply come right through the steering wheel.

The cheapest route is to go to take it to a transmission shop or dealer and have the shift solonoid replaced. The shift solenoid is an internal transmission part, so the transmission has to come out for the repair. So unless you've got mad mechanical skills, this isn't something you want to tackle yourself. This repair will run (in my city) from $500 to $1000.

Wrong! 1994 -1996 Lexus ES300 1-2 shift solenoids are replaced by moving the transmission pan. You do not need to remove the transmission! 1 and 2 are wired together. You should replace the filter and the gasket since you have the pan cover removed. And unless you want to get bent over, don't take it to a local transmission shop or dealer. Find a mechanic who has transmission experience if you want to save at least half.

It means your engine needs attention.

Ok according to my 2004 GM Owners Manual. If you are speaking about the light that looks like an "Oil Can". * The light goes on when you turn your key to ON or START. It goes off once you start your engine. That's a check to be sure the light works. If it doesn't come on, be sure to have it fixed so it will there to warn you if something goes wrong. * When the light comes on and stays on, it means that the oil isn't flowing through your engine properly. You could be low on oil and you might have some other system problem. Check the oil level and make sure you put in enough. If you are asking about the "CHANGE OIL" message that GM vehicles display on the dash then the steps to reseting that according to My Manual are. * The GM Oil Life System calculates when to change your engine oil and filter based on vehicle use. Anytime your oil is changed, reset the system so it can calculate when the next oil change is required. If a situation occurs where you change your oil prior to a CHANGE OIL message being turned on, reset the system. * Always reset the engine oiul life to 100% after every oil change. It will not reset itself. To reset the CHANGE OIL message, do the following: * 1. Display OIL LIFE on the DIC. * 2. Press and hold the reset stem. The oil life will change to 100% and a beep will sound. * 3. Turn the key to LOCK. * If the CHANGE OIL message comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. I have a 2000 Kia Sportage and when the hold button is flashing, the transmission is locked in low, by the gear shift is a button that says, hold, some how it got pushed, you might have a button on the dash that says, power and economy, I read in the manual that it should be in economy for every day driving, if you are towing something, you can use power, and the hold, it lets the transmission, pull harder, and doesn't shift as fast.

A problem has been detected with the Anti-lock Brake System :

It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem

As long as the red " BRAKE " light in your dash is not on , you still have

" normal " brakes

It's a common problem. If it's staying at 19mph all the time, the speedo head is bad. It's common for some solder points to come undone. If you know how to solder, you could do that. If your cruise control doesn't work and your speedo doesn't work, it's your VSS. It's by the trans and really easy to change. Hope this helps.
